Thanks guys! This keeps the forum nice and neat.
I forget what movie that was, but I remember one where someone was reading either the newspaper or some financial paper of some sort to an infant, to get it to calm down (or was it to make it fall asleep?) When asked about it, he said it didn't matter what the material read was, all that mattered was the soothing tone...
yep I remember a MASH episode, where the colonel had to take care of viet kids... neither knew the language, so he read out a 'vehicle maintenance manual' like it was a kids story..
The nurse said later, " you must come again, they *loved* your story!!"
In much the same way the Vincent Price could read a phone book and send chills down your back. Its all in the tone of voice. I also got a feeling if she keeps talking like that she will be doing it in a couple of seconds. I leave it to the mind of the student what it is.
Dear, don’t bore him with trivia or burden him with your past mistakes. The happiest way to deal with a man is never to tell him anything he does not need to know. L. Long

But Vincent Price has a sexy voice.
Yanno how some people have Angels/Devils for a conscience? I have a Dark Elf ShadowKnight and a Half Elf Ranger for mine. The really bad part is when they agree on something.

Ok, ya got me with"Who's Vincent Pride?" But, as shocking to you as it may be, I actually know what a phone book is... AND I know how to USE them! So THERE! Pthbthpthbth!
He's mister GlytchMeister, he's mister code
He's mister exploiter, he's mister ones and zeros
They call me GlytchMeister, whatever I touch
Starts to glitch in my clutch!
I'm too much!

I prefer Christopher Lee's reading of The Raven. I actually get goosebumps from that.
