Is "Falcon-toed" a word? That might explain putting the shoes on the "wrong" feet, too -- whichever way they sort-of fit.

And a quiet word of appreciation to all the National Weather Service personal and their support staff and contractors who are staying at their posts and delivering weather updates and bulletins even though they're currently furloughed and unpaid.

Yeah, things were crazy here in TX as well, 90 on Friday, 52 on Saturday. I dressed for something in-between but closer to 90 and I suffered for it. The worst was the 57 with light fog and misting rain in 30 MPH gusts. The metric conversion for that is 13.9 C in 50km/hr gusts. after having a 32.2 C high the day before.
I ride my bike to ride my bike, and sometimes it takes me where I need to go.
