One of her cuter poses, and she's wearing shoes!

Typical 15-year-old, testing her limits; she even has the coy look mastered already. I fully expect Kath to bellow something like "YOU ARE NOT LEAVING THIS HOUSE DRESSED LIKE THAT, YOUNG LADY."

Kath would do well to remember the meat hooks those sneakers hide. She may be a coy 15 year old, but she's still a bird of prey... Still, at least her clothes aren't ripped and torn.
Hope all is getting better on the home front Paul... hope the little guy is getting better and you aren't coming down with it now...

'Sali knows better than to mess with Katherine.
These days, Chuck Norris tries to avoid making eye contact with Katherine.

More like: "YOU ARE NOT LEAVING THIS HOUSE WITH YOUR WINGS SHOWING LIKE THAT, YOUNG LADY."MerchManDan wrote:Typical 15-year-old, testing her limits; she even has the coy look mastered already. Love the expression. I hope we can look forward to a cameo of this picture in Kath & Company's next adventure.

I was looking at Atsali's wings, and wondering if I could get a couple of loose feathers, and made beaded hair drops (those feather decorations you see some of my people wear), how much they would sell for. Then, I realized that's a really good reason for Shelly to keep her Sphinx side a secret, she'd have relatives trying to get her larger feathers for dance fans and war dance bustles!

I have been waiting for someone to notice that 'Sali is wearing her chucks on the wrong feet. The star goes out on the ones that only have the one star.

Those are Thrift Store chucks, and that's why - ran 'em through the embossing machine wrong way 'round....

Re: Atsali 2013-10-4
Shelly's primaries are probably four or five feet long, and 'Sali's wouldn't be much shorter, maybe two or three feet? This feather is probably one of her Coverts, or maybe even a Scapular, the shortest of her wing feathers.kingklash wrote:I was looking at Atsali's wings, and wondering if I could get a couple of loose feathers, and made beaded hair drops (those feather decorations you see some of my people wear), how much they would sell for. On consideration you're likely right. I had a different take on it when that comic first came out. After all the discussion in the Comments section about whether she was right to consider breaking up with Justin due to the risk of her sphinx nature being exposed, I suggested that the question of his ability to handle the shock seemed to be a matter of a pinion.Boxilar wrote:Shelly's primaries are probably four or five feet long, and 'Sali's wouldn't be much shorter, maybe two or three feet? Maybe she was getting dressed in a hurry?Opus the Poet wrote:I have been waiting for someone to notice that 'Sali is wearing her chucks on the wrong feet. The star goes out on the ones that only have the one star.

My comment on Facebook was that Minneapolis was warmer than I'd heard. But Pablo said it was 75 that day; apparently the car-devouring snowfalls don't come early.

You should be reading the Wapsi Square Wiki.
Re: Atsali 2013-10-4
I find your consistent taunting of the Pun Jar where wing structure is concerned to be quite Humerus. You had best be cautious and Coverts yourself lest you find all your taunting of the beast to be in vane.Dave wrote:On consideration you're likely right. Hey, hey, there. There's no such thing as a hippogryph, that's just a gryphon with a foot disease.Boxilar wrote:*tosses a hippogryph feather into the pun jar*

Re: Atsali 2013-10-4
I've been waiting for someone to do something with "hot wings" but so far I've been disappointed. I'd try myself but I'm far to poorly equipped in the pundamentals to go about "winging" it.

Re: Atsali 2013-10-4
It's Katherine's own fault, in a way. After taking Atsali on such a grand adventure (just as Atsali had read about for so many years), and then promising Atsali even more adventures in the future, is's no wonder at all that Atsali has gotten her courage revved up a bit and is pushing the boundaries somewhat. She knows that those stories can come true, if she just dares to try!MerchManDan wrote:Typical 15-year-old, testing her limits; she even has the coy look mastered already. Strutting her stuff, showing off her wings... it's only natural. She's just playing a round of "Pinna tale on badonk-y".
(I have no idea at all what to donate to the Pun Jar for that one. I would appreciate suggestions, as long as they don't actually require sacrificing portions of my body (or anyone else's for that matter))

I shared the previous Atsali pinup with a number of friends who are science fiction fans.
In describing her, i said "She's fifteen, and she reads the same sort of books we read when we were fifteen."
