Wow, poor kid. The constant struggle of puberty for all sapients seems to be the lymbic system fully developing before the frontal and pre-frontal cortex.

An easy Halloween costume she'd likely never spring for. At least not for another decade or two (of in-universe time).

Took me a minute to recognize the frontal laciness as nonanatomical . . . thought maybe she was developing branch-weaving skills like Castela.

Called it on the tea :)

Poor kid. Involuntary limbic flare-ups of any sort can be terribly embarrassing at that age, even for us mundanes. For a kid who is already (and justly) concerned that people will prejudge or stereotype her on issues of sexuality... well, "vulnerable and upset and utterly out of control" probably doesn't even come close to how she's really feeling right now.

Yep, kids' bodies outgrow their brains at that stage.

I wonder if she tried to shift into Siren-form if it would undo Incubus-form, or instead cause some sort of horrific hybrid.

Hmmm. Just making the attempt might be a bit hazardous, since she seems to be at least partially "stuck" in the incubus/succubus species form.

Hiccups are a bother. Burps can be a real annoyance. Having a hiccup occur while you are halfway through a burp... is dreadfully, amazingly, awfully painful. For some reason, this combination throws the throat into a terrible muscular spasm.

I'd be a bit concerned that if Atsali tried to change directly from Succubus to Siren warbird, the transformation might damage her, or at least hurt like hell.

And she doesn't need more issues about transformation . . .
