Poor Nadette is horrified... how is Atsali gonna get her calmed down? Those two kids need back up and fast.
You know that light at the end of the tunnel?
Yeah... it's a bullet. Sorry.

Nadette's not just caught in the moment- one of those memories is onboard her!!! Her thinking is inline with one of those who perished, not some nerdy little ursamorph who's running from shadows! Atsali needs to find out who she's dealing with before she makes any headway here

Not quite the same as being ridden by one of the Loa, but maybe not all that different. Nadette "isn't herself", in a stronger sense than you'd usually be seeing if you used that phrase about somebody.Sgt. Howard wrote:Nadette's not just caught in the moment- one of those memories is onboard her!!!
Possession has traditionally been one of the risks of the job, if you're a seer or a medium. If you're fortunate, the "guest" eventually leaves without doing too much damage.
Re: Run 2015-02-18
It's a case of the medium having a mess in her.

Looks to me like the mess went from a small for the medium to a large quickly.

Well...
If I was in a creepy cave complex where ghostly images of people being melted with astral fire appeared before me and they started moaning, "Ruuuuuuuuuunnnnnn...", I just might be tempted to take their advice AS HARD AS I CAN.
Just saying.

Welcome back Mr.T. - hope the convention went well for you . Needles to say - you were sorely missed.
Re: Run 2015-02-18
Atsali, remember, your sort-of girlfriend is a Seer. Because YOU don't see anything doesn't mean SHE doesn't. She's trapped in the horrors of the past. Follow along and, where needed, tackle her and sit on her until she recovers.

Remember, don't be small-minded, but give a rather large donation to the pun jar. Or, at least, reach a happy medium.Atomic wrote:Headline:oldmanmickey wrote:Looks to me like the mess went from a small for the medium to a large quickly.

Now Nadette, it is very rude to kiss and run.
Re: Run 2015-02-18
Did Nadette morph spines on her arm to elicit that "Owie!"?

Re: Run 2015-02-18
Maybe but remember bears do have claws. She may have just scratchex Sali pulling free. While the elbow things could be spines I suspect they are just from fast movement as she yanks her hand away. I doubt she was thinking about morphing at this moment. She is thinking about fleeing.Dr. Otter wrote:Did Nadette morph spines on her arm to elicit that "Owie!"?
Point: the ghost, memory, that urged her to run can be the warning signal sent out to get all the people to go to the transpost stations to go to the stasis chamber. This could be an automated message to get people moving. It just got turned on again.
Ambush questions are fun. Watching the mental impact of them as they distort, or crumble, opinions based on faulty logic.

I had thought it was simply her changing uncontrolled trying to escape. maybe a porcupine or some such. I do agree there was no conscious thought, just reaction and panic.
