Not so much the shadows, but what might be casting them.

She is Shadow.

She is the queen of Shadow.

She is all shadows.

And there are some shadows over there... that aren't her.

(Also.. "this play haunted houses"? Perhaps should be "the"?)

Sali welcome to the world of leadership where everyone reacts like you do! Oh what fun..

Rule 1: Stick together. Of course first time something strange occurs everyone can run in different directions.

Rule 2: If you are the best friend of the heroine you are the first to die.

Rule 3: If you are the nerdy, pain in the butt, friend you will die just so the audience can say, 'YEAAAAA!"

Rule 4: Zombies do know how to make shadow puppets.

Rule 5: Hiding behind racks of weapons, or chain saws, is always the best place to hide.
Ambush questions are fun. Watching the mental impact of them as they distort, or crumble, opinions based on faulty logic.

That sentence manages to not contain a single R.

Which is an odd way to spell "streak".

*Scooby Doo chase music starts playing*

admittedly, this time it's just Atsali chasing the other two, but I can see her catching up with them, putting a hand on each of their shoulders and Nadette jumps out of her skin (ok, maybe not literately but :P)

hmmm ... maybe yakety sax is a better choice in music for this chase?

ps: the shadows in the other room?

Tsillah know that no-one was there before they arrived, but I doubt she would know if anyone else arrived at the same time or just after our three got there.

My guess is the 'shadows' is the rest of their team. Maybe Grandma Lily & (Aunt?) Suzie?

Of course, if they are running away *from* friends/allies, I wonder what they are running *to* ... dun dun DUN!

Heh. Special story/filler from Codename:Hunter webcomic. (The red-haired hound is Ruby, codename "Gypsy", the white mouse on the last two pages is Max, codename "Hunter" and Eric the hamster's codename is "Nero"; they're agents for a British special intelligence agency that deals with magic; Ruby and Eric are Max's assistants.

It makes sense that Nadette does not go to haunted houses, even Halloween ones. As a seer she is open the spirits the emotions of those places draw. She can also contact the ghostly traces that hang around. It is also possible that peoples expectations in a haunted house actually activate her senses and cause things to happen.

Background music- cue F&S "Foggy mountain breakdown"...

Interesting- first Tillah gets clocked, then she runs from shadows. Nadette, the mighty seer, did not see this happening... and our favorite 'bird brain' is (at the moment) in command... cue "Listen to the mockingbirds" a la Three Stooges.

The three are now seeming alright
and battling with fear and with fright
when Atsali points out
shadows moving about
the other two dimwits take flight

... drops a pile of butter croissants and a carafe of cappuccino in the confusion corner
