What a way to make a good impression...

BTW, a thread with a wrong title (though the correct date) is still not a valid daily thread, right? So I was OK posting mine?

Well, finally Cricket holds still long enough for Mon to actually talk to her. She may now be confused, but at least she isn't panicked.

Monica's really not making a case for Cricket to not run from her. Sure Mon might not obliterate her, but she there is a very real chance that she'll start blabbering all her old lady problems at Cricket for hours on end. :?

Buuuuuuuut, can one infer that "Finding Problems Elsewhere" could define Jet?

Was Jet's father as bold as the Sergeant-Major?

I don't think she's really learning anything new here. I think mostly she's just venting her inner monolog in front of a captive audience who is busy trying not to say the wrong thing and be eviscerated.

actually means we're in 'the Wizard of Oz'!
Tin Woodsman: What have you learned, Dorothy?

Dorothy: Well, I - I think that it - it wasn't enough to just want to see Uncle Henry and Auntie Em - and it's that - if I ever go looking for my heart's desire again, I won't look any further than my own back yard. Because if it isn't there, I never really lost it to begin with! Is that right?

Yeah... I was tempted to start today's thread as "Title TBA" and edit it later, but I knew there was a chance I wouldn't be back online until now (7am Wapsi tine), I chose not to.
