Her cheerful acceptance of that little inconvenience in her life is ... ummm ... disconcerting.

"You have a bed"
"This is better!"
Tells you all you need to know about Castela's physiology.

She falls apart and she puts herself back together again. It's an expected nuisance for her.Fairportfan wrote:"If i fall apart in my sleep..." Her cheerful acceptance of that little inconvenience in her life is ... ummm ... disconcerting.
I like the repetition in frames three and four.

Well, at least she doesn't need any of the king's horses or king's men to put herself back together...Wyvern wrote:She falls apart and she puts herself back together again. IF she falls apart then she is a collection, or one long, vine. So her human form is only a shape she assumes. That implies she has not internal organs at all. Her life processes are those of a plant.
So does the pot need soil inthe bottom so she can put down roots while she sleeps?
How does she eat? Get sprayed with a food solution to be absorbed through the skin? Does she use photosynthesis?
Just because she can assume human form does not mean she has everything like a human. Makes you wonder how plant like she really is?
Now I just hope the state they are in has legalized pot sales.

Ambush questions are fun. Watching the mental impact of them as they distort, or crumble, opinions based on faulty logic.

And I'm guessing the new face in panel one is - well, anyway, she's a Pisces....

Meanwhile, I can't seem to recognize what kind of being it is, talking to Bud in the first panel. Anyone know?

Well, yeah.Wyvern wrote:I like the repetition in frames three and four.
Of course, i have day-to-dealings with a seven-year-old and a five-year-old.
The subject matter of Castela's discourse may be a bit unlike the sorts of things i hear on a daily basis ... but the manner of delivery is horrifyingly familiar.

Castela is so cute looking up out of that pot!
The lady in the first panel, maybe she's a daughter of the Kraken?

Her arms rather resemble a squid's tentacles.
(A squid, like an octopus, has eight arms and also two {longer} tentacles.)

I could be mistaken, but it looks in panel 2 as if the pot is full of dirt, and pickle appears to have burrowed into the soil.zachariah wrote:IF she falls apart then she is a collection, or one long, vine. Maybe shes an Aquarius?...you know , the one in .....ANYWAY.
Ah whats the big deal? Put some plastic flowers on top of the pot in daytime, like making your bed. Plus it makes Castela feel safe and happy.

In the orphanage, she talked about having a brownie & milk, so she eats dessert anyway.

I thought it looked more like ornamental gravel or glass beads, more likely for a decor item. Also I seem to recall a similar situation with a character in the Wotch.Boxilar wrote:I could be mistaken, but it looks in panel 2 as if the pot is full of dirt, and pickle appears to have burrowed into the soil.

Probably happens on a regular basis, so she is use to it. Of course when it happens she spreads out over the bed and probably wakes up a little hung over.Fairportfan wrote:"If i fall apart in my sleep..."

Re: This Is Better 2013-11-04
If the pot was that full she would have caused some of the contents to fall out when she dug down into it. She didn't so it is likely the pot was empty and the look is merely shadow. Her face would have been dirty as well in the last panel.Timotheus wrote:I thought it looked more like ornamental gravel or glass beads, more likely for a decor item.
