Neither, really. She may look like a younger Shelley, but she is more of a familiar or companion than anyone with a familal attachment.

Appendage. She may be the fusion of Shelly's demons and Tina 1.0's soul, she may be separate and sentient and able to operate away from Shelly; but don't forget, when Shelly dies, Connie dies. They're a part of each other. Even if they occasionally drive each other crazy...

Its funny how a mom can use a middle name, a principle uses mister or miss but a father uses general terms such as boy or you girls to get the same effect.

After all those years, Shelly still hasn't mastered thinking things through before acting.

Given that Conscience seems to have at least some slight ability to alter her own appearance, it is possible that she's just messing with Shelly some more by pretending to be Bia. It's not as though Shelly's middle name would have been a mystery to her, after all. That seems a bit too unlike Connie, though, so this Bia is probably the real thing.

I wonder if Bia chose Shelly's middle name? Since Bia knew that Shelly was part sphinx and thus could take a form that is partly covered in fur, Elise might have been a minor bit of foreshadowing.
