Ah, so you're talking about a quantum-mechanical field of virtual puns! Puns and anti-puns, appearing in pairs and then disappearing again, flickering into existence for so short a time that the reader never has time to perceive the horrors lurking just beneath the surface of the continuum.

That's simply brilliant!

I must find a way to harvest this punnish form of vacuum energy. Hey, Glytch, have you got anything which can extract these puns from the field... a sort of linguistic Hawking radiation?
You're bad enough without me helping you harness the entire multiverse's uncollapsed wave function of puns!

Highlight under the quote to reveal background colored text.
even simpler, and does not need a magnifier... just click the 'quote' button to see it clearly....

PUN??? I think Dave thought he saw one, trying to use a 'star wars' meme, "Luke, I am your father"...

then everyone went on a 'pun frenzy'...

AndyO posts new Too Much Information, Disappeared. He refers to a Siren who was Ace's Guardian when he was seven, named Leucoisa (same spelling as used here).

That one took 2001 through 2006 to set up, then '06 - '10 to complete. What I'm saying is WoG is Atsali becomes a YA adventure writer of her fictionalized autobiography, this is setting up for her next adventure, but a really long one.
I like this. Wapsi has been missing the long range plot that ties the strips together. Plot wise it's been kind of light for some time. Though if Paul is going in this direction, then we now know Monica is way too powerful to write for easily, the golem girls storyline is wrapped up, and now we have a collection of para teenagers on one side and a misbehaving shadow government on the other. There is lots of plot potential. Now is there a mcguffin?

I spent hours searching YouTube for a GI Joe episode called "The McGuffin Device". Never found the video, which nicely parallels the show: they never found the Device either, Cobra or the Joes.

There's a film called "The Double McGuffin" that was shot here in Atlanta in the 80s. I recall it being a decent film intended for a young audience.
