Double ugh. Yeah, I had that creepy feeling in my innards this morning when I read the dialog.

Here's hoping that Katherine's sextupal-chimeric origin brings along a huge helping of Plot Immunity... and that Paul is just exercising his authorial right to commit acute premeditated aggravated chain-yanking

I see it as the two of them slowly learning to trust someone else, learning that they are not alone, they are wanted and loved. I didn't read is as ominous, but heart-warming.
