True . . . hadn't thought of that. Not everybody grows up in a logging/farming community with a lot of drinking.Catawampus wrote:They might have heard of bourbon, but might not know how it is spelled. Looking at the letters in the word, it's not entirely obvious how to pronounce it. They could be thinking, "bow-urb-on? What's that?" and not connecting it at all with the drink.
They're teenagers . . . planning is not their long suite. And I would think that VWI is not a good idea . . .Catawampus wrote:I wonder how they're planning on getting home? Is vorping whilst under the influence prohibited?
A lot of the adults don't seem to have a car either . . . Monica did, but I don't know if it was repaired after the oil pan fell off; Katherine did the last we knew, but she traveled mostly by bus; Shelley did, but we haven't seen her driving in a long time; the band Fermented Banana had a van, but we haven't seen them in a long time either . . .Catawampus wrote:For that matter, do any of the teenagers in this comic have a car yet? We've always seen them travel by foot, teleportation, rocket, or wings.
If MSP has a decent transit system, they may not need one.
OTOH, getting to an upstate cabin by transit would be exceptionally difficult.
