Spahkletastic.
Sometimes you get the idea that Paul is directly quoting people he knows, I mean, how could you just make this stuff up?

I can't help but wonder how, of three siblings, one could be mortal, when the other two are immortal.

Do we know for certain that they're full siblings?lake_wrangler wrote:I can't help but wonder how, of three siblings, one could be mortal, when the other two are immortal.
Alternatively: both parents might be homozygous-dominant for immortality (if it works that way in the Wapsiverse). If that were the case, each child would have one chance in four of being mortal.

Yeah but Mikey, I think in the Wapsiverse version it's been stated (By Paul, through 'somebody') that Medusa was mortal, got together with 'whatshisname' (Perseus?) and they covered their tracks so as to live Happily Ever After. During which we are given to understand she got old and eventually died.

I'm kind of disappointed now honestly

There's a panel of Euryale walking with Shelly and telling her the story ...TazManiac wrote:Yeah but Mikey, I think in the Wapsiverse version it's been stated (By Paul, through 'somebody') that Medusa was mortal, got together with 'whatshisname' (Perseus?) and they covered their tracks so as to live Happily Ever After. Well, paranormal traits seem to be genetic. So she might have had some sort of genetic disorder related to her longevity gene.lake_wrangler wrote:I can't help but wonder how, of three siblings, one could be mortal, when the other two are immortal.
The six-year-old in question would probably disagree with you on that, though.oldmanmickey wrote:yea either story would be not for 6 year old ears.

(I don't know if that system was specific to my grade school or not, but the translation is "Euryale is to Shelly as Shelly is to Monica."
Wow. Blast from the past. I haven't seen the double-colon in... Over a decade. I'd better stop, I'm making myself feel old.)

Well, here she is with Shelly...Jabberwonky wrote:I'd forgotten how statuesque Euryale is...we still need a pic of her and Monica on flat ground...
I wanna see Euryale and Phix both in human form to see which does "sexy librarian" better.

Re: Bending The Truth 2015-11-09
Looking at Euryale, in heels, next to Shelly, I'd hazard Monica could kiss Euryale's bellybutton without much trouble.
Now, thats just mechanics, I leave the rest up to the gentle reader's imagination...

If you start here and go forwards, you'll get a pretty good idea of their relative heights. These aren't "full body, from a significant and equal distance" comparisons, but they're pretty close.Jabberwonky wrote:I'd forgotten how statuesque Euryale is...we still need a pic of her and Monica on flat ground...
Monica frozen, then thawed, and then terrified - all of these images show the same basic size relationship.
