If it's a lake, it's not hard to hide. I mean, "Land of 10,000 Lakes" is on the license plates.

And here I was yelling at Atsali to do the same... BTW... slightly off-topic... OK, HELLA off-topic... there is this site, "the Bad Webcomics Wiki"... you would not believe what the diseased turkey-baster who runs the place has to say about about Mr. Taylor's work! Apparently he is offended by gratuitous cleavage shots and cannot seem to get past that... wow... then I started perusing some of the other webcomics that this internal hemorrhoid finds distasteful... and find a goodly number of the webcomics that I enjoy!
"Improving our media with hatred"- I kid you not, THAT is the motto of this infestation.
Is there an internet equivalent to pennVK? Or Lysol?
I notice the absence of a name at the place in question... I guess that tells me all I need to know...
the Old (and somewhat disgruntled) Sgt.
PS- yea, I noticed this morning I couldn't get in... I was concerned that one of my limericks might have become sentient and done damage... but then, they do damage without sentience...

Opus the Poet wrote:As I pointed out in the FB posting, the parapool is 65 FEET deep at that point. Something I should have also pointed out is the whale tanks at Seaworld are not that deep by 15-30 feet (depending on which Seaworld you measure). That is one extremely large pool.
illiad wrote:yeah, and people still keep anthropomorphising it from 'human' standards... Its a PARANORMAL world, guys!! the pool has to deal with various others, who are 'short' at 15 feet high, and various other things, so 'human' cleaners are hopeless...
You beat me to it... (I hadn't yet checked on the comic, since I couldn't get on the site, this morning...zachariah wrote:Not really for Para's. For all we know Brandi may have brought Stinky along to play fetch.
Another thought along with this. If it is that deep then how wide, or long it is? An Olympic pool is 50M by 25 M by 1 M (Or maybe a bit deeper). So keeping the same proportions this is 3250 M Long, 1625 M wide (total area is 1320 acres). This is a lake, not a pool, and a bit hard to hide. But being a lake means they can establish an ecology in there to keep it clean and healthy. Besides for all we know chlorinated water can be harmful for some para's.
This makes me wonder if the 65 means something other than how deep it is at that point.
I'm thinking length of pool, myself, the same way they mark down the yards on football fields (or the meters, up here in Canada...)

Ah, the holiday weekend. Missed deadlines, no one really wants to work...
I think I'd rather relax by the pool.

Definitely a packet flood, and a serious denial-of-dryness attack. Those hackers ought to be ashamed of themselves.
Pools?? who needs 'Olympic' when there is a 3000 foot long *heated* one in chile?? or the 'deep joy' in italy, 40 Metres deep - just book a room and dive

Don't judge that site too harshly. Through it, I found a couple of new comics that I added to my reading list.Sgt. Howard wrote:And here I was yelling at Atsali to do the same... Yeah. Their "review" of "The Wotch" was ... fascinating ... particularly their comments about the creators in particular. Can you say "repressed homophobic projection"?illiad wrote:I have een that site... it is obviously just aimed at bad mouthing ANY comic...Thor wrote:Don't judge that site too harshly. There is also (or was) a site called something like "Your Webcomic is bad and You Should Be Ashamed"...

Hmmm.
I just glanced over at my current avatar and thought i ought see what the jerks over there have to say about "Codename: Hunter"

Re: Go Talk 2015-05-26
The few times I've ever seen that guy say anything good about any webcomic, it was always in reviews of some OTHER webcomic. (For example, his review of The Wotch held up several other webcomics as better examples of gender-bending. The site includes a review of only one of those others, and it's a negative review.)Sgt. It appears that if he doesn't have anything truly horrible to say about a comic, he says nothing at all.

I just glanced at Your Webcomic is Bad and You Should Feel Bad.
All you need to know about is is encapsulated in the fact that he uses (probably without permission) this image at the head of the page:

I mean, Mallard FIllmore is a clangingly abysmally unfunny comic whose sole "joke" is "Liberals Are Stupid".
Badly told.
