For some reason Tina's skills at coffee and her latest new customer's experience reminded me of this little gem from the "Breaking Bad" series

So, mythology tells us that Medusa turned people to stone. Euryale turns people to ice. What is Stheno's power? If we go with the classical Greek elements, that can leave us with air or fire. Either one of those could be a bit tricky to undo via Euryale's usual technique. Or if we go with some systems from further east, we could add metal to the mix. I suppose that gold would be a traditional option, then, though I think that something such as sodium or curium might be interesting.

Or she could go with something totally different, and transform her victims into cellulose or antimatter or really really really thick coffee.

Them's fightin' words, if'n you add, "Let's fight" on to the end uf 'em!

Hmm... Interesting theory. Let's put it to the test:

It sounds as if Stheno might just have a little bit in common with Katherine... she's been living "apart from the world" in some fashion, for some reason. Euryale seems to have decided to play the Temptress of Java (quite successfully I might add) and lure her older sister out of whatever metaphorical cave she's been living in.

.....To each their own? *shrugs*

I can only consume coffee in two forms; cappuccino (barring several flavors and brands) and chocolate cake.

No problem here. Stheno's dark, sultry look wins for me.

My survival instinct dictates Euryale.

And smacks me in the back of the head for looking at Stheno.

Anyhow, I'll join the chorus and add that I'm also looking forward to seeing Stheno more often. I've always had a thing for groovy goth girls (my endless crush on Euryale notwithstanding).

Reminds me of Battalion Mandatory fun day when I was in the army (You will be there. You will participate. You WILL have fun. THAT'S AN ORDER!!!). They had them everywhere I wound up at... but when I was in Korea, it was combat everything... combat soccer, combat volleyball, combat football... problem was, the medics at the hospital put a stop to it... the steady stream of injured soldiers was alarming to them... I think there was something on the order of 30 or 40 people with broken bones or major sprains or cuts... out of a 600 person battalion, that's a pretty high ratio in the space of like 8 hours or so.

i always liked the Dune quote i saw online, and on a t-shirt somewhere else:
