now if this is a typical sisters thing they are gonna put up a united front to Atsali when she comes or calls.
Dear, don’t bore him with trivia or burden him with your past mistakes. The happiest way to deal with a man is never to tell him anything he does not need to know. L. Long
I hoping that at some point Atsali and Nadette will actually talk to each other, instead of both of them going on assumptions.
I'm also kinda surprised that the ursamorphs stay in their school forms when at home. I know that if I had had to wear a school uniform of any sort, I would have been back into something comfortable the moment I got home.

And do what exactly? I mean, it's hard to say what happened because... Paul hasn't shown us what happened. Did Atsali flip out? Not seem to understand? Stare blankly at a wall while Nadette confessed her undying love and then went "Huh?!" when prodded for a question.

We are talking about emotions. Not the sort of thing that can be accurately predicted by... Well, really, anything. Logic and reason fall before the chaotic surge of emotional turmoil. A person's very perception of reality trembles at the whisper of a touch of emotions.
AND we're dealing with twins. Two people who have lived together since before they were born. It's like going from single variable to multi variable calculus, only all of it is quantum mechanics. Which even Feynman doesn't understand. And I'm pretty sure he literally wrote a book on the subject. ANYWAY (I digress)
AND AND we're dealing with paranormals. Soooo... Paranormal twin emotions. Sounds like a triple pendulum. Total chaos.
He's mister GlytchMeister, he's mister code
He's mister exploiter, he's mister ones and zeros
They call me GlytchMeister, whatever I touch
Starts to glitch in my clutch!
I'm too much!

nah, normal comedy ethic is to both rush to the others place at the same time, find they are out, then rush back and forth a few time, and then *crash* into a heap together!!!

If one of them had been attacked socially, or emotionally, you would be right. But this was not intentional and Berdine knows it. So she will love Nadette and give her a shoulder to cry on but they will not close ranks against Sali. Berdine might go have a talk with Sali about being thick as a brick but that would be it.
Ambush questions are fun. Watching the mental impact of them as they distort, or crumble, opinions based on faulty logic.
These two are the closest friends Atsali has. She needs to make amends quickly or risk losing both of them. She may be clueless, but she's not stupid methinks. I'm not saying giving in to Nadette's advances, at least not unless she wants to, but she needs to make Nadette understand that even though she may not swing the same way, she won't judge Nadette because she does and that she still wants to be friends.
A lot of people might say: "Why didn't Nadette see this coming?"
Well, there are people who have premonitions, but most its about others... and doesn't work so well on one's self.
I hope they get this fixed soon. I hate seeing Nadette so unhappy.

Quite a long-playing talk it will be. "Get a clue, Atsali! Ask not for whom the belle Tulls; she Tulls for thee!"

We've already seen, and Nadette clearly understands, that people can easily misinterpret or not fully understand her Seeings. Atsali dating Jacob will lead to her true happiness... Atsali concluded that this means she'll be happy with him, but Nadette knows otherwise.
Perhaps the same sort of incompleteness applies to whatever Seeings she has of herself... she sees the distance (the eventual outcomes) but not necessarily everything between here and there, and misinterprets some of thst fragmentary Vision?

Nope, not even. While these are females, and in high school, they are not Human Girls. They are Ursamorphs, Bear folk, Para-normals that live and exist in a Wapsi-verse of magic, mystery and intrigue. Phenomenons, antimatter bombs, experiencing past events through the eyes of the dead, etc are all common events.
For your average teenage girl it would be more like:
The car wouldn't start, I missed the bus so I was late, and when I finally got there I had my heart broken. . .
You have to keep things in perspective (Drops a pair of 3-D glasses into the pun jar for good luck)
Where are we going and why am I in this handbasket?
