I'm probably talking through my hat, and you've already checked all that, but just in case you haven't;Warrl wrote:Any chance your computer has muted itself?AnotherFairportfan wrote:YouTube had decided to mute itself - in both browsers - for no reason i can see.
Have you tried going to some other website that has sound, and will it play? If no sound plays from your browser, yet other applications (VLC, iTunes, etc.) play just fine, is it possible that the sound is turned down for the browsers? In Windows 7 (I know, big assumption, you could be running something else...), if you right-click on the sound icon in the system tray, you have the option to Open Volume Mixer. When you do, you will see separate columns for different software that are open and are capable of producing sound. Check if the columns for your browsers have the sound volume down, or even muted (a little red interdiction symbol next to the speaker icon below the column in question), and correct accordingly.

Youtube relies heavily on JS - check that too.. embedded youtube does not usually need JS.. try this link to test..

Nope - i verified that i had sound on VIMEO, and on MP3 and AVI files on the computer.Warrl wrote:Any chance your computer has muted itself?AnotherFairportfan wrote:YouTube had decided to mute itself - in both browsers - for no reason i can see.
It was all YouTube's fault.
Sucks to YouTube.

Win8:
Get things going so that a YouTube video is playing.
Right-click on the speaker icon in the tray and select "Open Volume Mixer".
Look at the individual applications and see if they are muted. Also check the volume sliders - if an app is not muted but its volume is reduced to zero, guess what... Adjust as seems appropriate.
Other OSes:
Read the above, then look around at what you have and see if there's something roughly equivalent.

This is Win7, i know all that stuff, and YouTube did it unilaterally from its end.

I just now realized who Castela is drawing: Dietzel.

I don't know... the tail looks rather long and fluffy to be Dietzel's. Besides, it looks like there might be wings, on the back of whatever she is drawing.jwhouk wrote:I just now realized who Castela is drawing: Dietzel.

after zooming in and rotating the picture, I agree.lake_wrangler wrote:I don't know... the tail looks rather long and fluffy to be Dietzel's. Besides, it looks like there might be wings, on the back of whatever she is drawing.jwhouk wrote:I just now realized who Castela is drawing: Dietzel.
It looks like a picture of something with wings and just maybe something (or someone?) on it's back? It may also have more than 4 legs? Or is carrying something round underneath itself?
At a guess, Calista (with her wings showing) riding a flying insect of some kind?

Given the liberty that she has taken with the physique of her aunts when drawing them, I wouldn't be too surprised if she did draw Dietzel with a somewhat weird tail. It could be a picture of tiny-sized Calista riding on the back of microDietzel.Grantwhy wrote:after zooming in and rotating the picture, I agree.lake_wrangler wrote:I don't know... the tail looks rather long and fluffy to be Dietzel's. Or it could be any number of other things, from a character who we haven't even seen to a character from some popular show to just a creation from Castela's imagination.

could it be a baby griffin/gryphon? we know that the night that Atsali and Pickle were adopted by Katherine, the next day they were supposed to be going to the Zoo to see them during an orphanage field-trip. could this be her rendition of what she saw on that trip, or maybe the three of them went recently separate from the orphanage trip?
