This may take quite a few slices of cake to get through.

I hope that's not a "chocolate orgasm" cake...

This may become a 'thing', like the cheesecake on the Golden Girls....

But for Kath's sake, hopefully not for this ONLY....

Well, many restaurants have some kind of super chocolaty cake dessert named "death by chocolate" and the French refer to an orgasm as "la petite mort" (the little death) so make of that what you will.

And I just realized - THIS is why Castela acts out - to be distracted by treats while Mom defuses the family feud.

Minor quibble - "Atsali and me", because it's objective case.

Best test - if it were just one person being referred to by the pronoun would it be "I" or "me"?

Perhaps Paul chose "Atsali and I" so that he wouldn't be objectivefying any of the women? ;)

The following may sound silly to some, and will definitely cement my place in the confusion corner, but I'll go ahead and say it anyway.

As is my wont, once I clicked on the link, I also read backwards and forward some, from there. Doing so, I ran into the first time Monica went to the bibliothiki. When I first read that part, I read it at face value. But now, after the whole calendar events and knowing about the 57 loops, it just occurred to me that Phix has had to pretend to want to scare Monica (answer the riddle or die) quite a few times, by now, and had to have been aware of how she would react, yet kept insisting on repeating the charade... I'm guessing that however many times Phix has done that to Monica, it was always "the first time" to Monica...

All you need to cure your ills in life -- chicken soup and chocolate cake. (Although not at the same time.)

Grapefruit juice has substances in it which can interfere with the absorbtion or metabolism of many drugs. It should be avoided when taking medications, lest an accidental overdose or underdose occur.

No telling what interactions it would have with chocolate, especially when the patient is a Siren suffering from a hormone storm.

Ah, I'm sure that the sugar and caffeine are just what Castela needs!
MerchManDan wrote:"What the frack," eh? I gather Castela's been watching some Battlestar Galactica with Mama. ;)
Or else Mama tends to use the phrase a lot herself when around the kids? Perhaps a bit of both.

From what little has been said of other versions of the timeline that looped around, apparently people didn't always end up the same way each time. Previous versions of Monica (assuming that they even existed in those particular timelines) might well have had totally different experiences growing up, so might not have had the same character. And even if they were similar to this version of Monica, they might have been introduced to Phix (if at all) at different times in their development. For all we know, Monica eventually meeting Phix might not even have happened in most timelines.

Some moles are pretty much chocolate chicken soup. . .

We know that Kath has an affinity for Battlestar Galactica... She went to a costume Party once dressed as Starbuck, here:

http://wapsisquare.com/comic/treasurechest/

Oddly enough, only a few strips later was the first mention of the Bibliothiki...

I'm kind of enamored of the series myself... I own the series.
