Hmmmm *remembers* The best tea, scones and cream? Watersmeet, Devon. Near Lynmouth. By grace of the National Trust. Smack-Dab in the middle of the most beautiful, fairytale-like woods I ever saw.

If any of You Americans ever go to GB, go to Devon, get a B&B and some good walking shoes.

B.o.t. : Auwtsch! Poor Jet, al her feelings scrambled, and now her head too

I guess when Tina saw Georgette was a pub brawler, she meant Jet literally attacks places of business.

Jet is not very good at it.

The doors of Mucho Mocha appear to be made of sterner stuff than glass, though (assuming that's the sort of door you went through) ;)
It was 60's era sliding glass door glass. And on a trailer home to boot. I'm pretty sure Mucho Mocha's would be of at least tempered glass if not Herculite.

Indeed, it wouldn't surprise me at all if the shop was discreetly built to withstand a siege, considering it evidently used to be owned by the mob and the place needs to be sturdy to withstand the antics of supernatural customers.

Well, that went well.

And we're back to Monica and Jet in each others' arms. For real, this time.

Yes, that's awfully cheap for what are Becky's almost home-made bakery products, as opposed to mass produced stuff. Mucho Mocha, come for the coffee and Tina's psychological analysis, stay for the bagels.

Dog help me, all I heard was the sound of coconuts knocking together, à la "The Three Stooges"....

does that make me a bad person?

Yes, Tina, thank you. We noticed.

Well, I heard the classic "strike in the bowling alley" crash, with pins flying everywhere. I don't think either of us is a bad person; It's simply that Paul decided to pay the foley crew particularly well today.

Aaand that gave me the image of Tina behind the counter blazing away with a tommy-gun fitted with the iconic fifty round magazine...

Headstrong Romanticism.

Headlong flight.

Head-bonk collision.

Head gong ringing.

I can't quite justify claiming "Head-thong rebound" as the next one in the series, since this scene isn't taking place at the beach or on Monica's sandbar (may it R.I.P.)

Any other alliteracies come to mind?

Head along...except we don't have any little dogies. (At least I haven't seen Deitzel in this arc)

Well, you invoked the idea of Tina with an automatic weapon.

If only that image were canon, we could have "Head along, little Doogie (Mauser)"

zachariah wrote:Tina could be in trouble. Locking the door can be taken as an attempt to restrain Georgette after all. That makes it kidnapping. If they move her it could only compound the problem and they can't leave her lying on the floor during business hours.
Calling for medical help could cause just as many problems. MIB to the rescue I guess.

I don't think taking her down to the basement would be any better. What would she think when she wakes up. First they need to get Monica out from under her though.
More likely "false imprisonment" rather than "kidnapping", but I see your point. However, such a charge woud probably only apply if Georgette asked that the door be unlocked to let her leave, and Tina refused to do so (or she or Monica actually used force or threats to keep Georgette from leaving). Stores often lock their main doors (e.g. at closing time) and as long as they have an employee standing by to let customers out on request, they are not restraining people from leaving and there's no crime or tort.

As to where Georgette will wake up: clearly, it's going to on the Comfy Couch, over in Confusion Corner!

Soo...I know that Tina said her doors were locked, but when did she do that? She was behind the counter the whole time she talked to Jet before calling M...and I seriously doubt that Jet would have just stood there and let Tina lock her in after that emotional unveiling. Does she have an auto-lock button behind the counter or something? :)

Hahaha! I did that at 5 or 6 (the glass door was at the bottom of the stairs I fell down), but the door stopped me. I (reportedly) jumped up and declared "See! I didn't go through the glass!" to my mother...who had always told me to hold the hand-rail when going down the stairs so I wouldn't fall and go through the glass door and hurt myself. :D

So yeah, no stitches for me...but I also didn't bounce backwards. I'll attribute that to a) me falling down the stairs instead of running at the door, and b) me not being a comic book character who could amusingly fall backwards onto a busty lady. :P Well...and there's also the fact that (as MerchManDan pointed out) the doors of Mucho Mocha do not appear to be fully glass, but solid with a glass window (based on the view we got over Jet's shoulder). ;)

Emotional trauma -> surprise romance -> emotional trauma -> slapstick comedy -> ???

Georgette's starting her vacation with one heck of a roller coaster ride.
Whoever coined the phrase "more fun than a barrel of monkeys" obviously never spent an afternoon cramming the little buggers into one.

And, if Tina had joined into the collision, while her pet parrot was watching...

So did I once. But I used tools. Snowed in at a radar site and the OIC said open it up and I'll ration the food. So I did.

Hmmm. . .now that I think on it, Tina might be capable of what to ordinary people would appear to be telekinesis.

Given how many times various demons have been shown interacting with characters out in public, it seems that demons can choose to be visible to only certain people while simultaneously remaining invisible to most others.

We've also seen that demons can physically interact with the world around them, giving nose flicks or opening window blinds.

So it might be possible for one of Tina's constituent demons to leave her body, cross a room, and move stuff around without anybody else being able to see what was going on. It would just look as though Tina was standing on the far side of the room and magically moving things.

Not that I really think any such thing happened here (though hey, maybe it did), just that it's an ability she might have that I hadn't really considered much before. In this case, though, she probably just walked across the cafe and locked the doors while Georgette was standing stunned. Given what a conscientious business owner she is, she probably even put up the "CLOSED" sign and everything, and perhaps a little note apologising for shutting down early.
