Yeah, and it's really not fair.

They can deflect by bringing up a teen's love-life, because that embarrasses the teen.

Doesn't work the other way around, because teens find that talking about (or even thinking about) their parents' sex lives embarrasses them.

Going with how Katherine was describing what she saw, it had to have been rather noticeable.
