That is a problem with digital camera's. Push the button and wait .25 seconds for the image to be read. Paul buy an SLR manual, that will fix the timing issue.
PS: Paul if you are hard up for funds offer that one without the hands in a private auction. I am sure the bidding will go crazy! Stipulate the buyer is NOT allowed to copy it digitally as well.
Ambush questions are fun. Watching the mental impact of them as they distort, or crumble, opinions based on faulty logic.
you CAN"T poit paparazzi into volcanoes anymore? When did that change?

Or we get to see what some of the characters are up to in thier mundane lives. But I'm betting you're right. Monica and Shelly have been bumped upstairs, so to speak. They've been replaced as pawns and footsoldiers by the Vampire FBI. Which I love. Every other fiction has the vamps as the elite, controlling world events. In the Wapsiverse, they're just try to avoid being stepped on.
Also, random thought. Brandolin has been manipulating events for 57 cycles now and is nominally in control of Monica's destiny, yet Monica can command Brandi if she wishes. Interesting power dynamic.
A: It was necessary because her right hand/forearm wouldn't have given sufficient coverage.
Not even duct tape can fix stupid. But it can muffle the noise.

Brandi trying to keep power for herself would be too clichéd for what I've seen of Mr. Taylor's work, but that leaves all sorts of combinations from "desperate to pass it on and retire" to "slow and tedious (tedious for M, we'd only see the highlights) training" to "agonizing over when the student is ready".
