I assume you saw the NWS bulletin out of Alaska the other day, then?

Yeah, things were crazy here in TX as well, 90 on Friday, 52 on Saturday. I dressed for something in-between but closer to 90 and I suffered for it. The worst was the 57 with light fog and misting rain in 30 MPH gusts. The metric conversion for that is 13.9 C in 50km/hr gusts. after having a 32.2 C high the day before.

Criminy. Here in Southern Manitoba - i.e, north of North Dakota - it's been a rather pleasant autumn so far, with no exceptional weather to speak of.
