I smell a setup here.
1. Hiroshi could come to her rescue and pay for a drink from the machines, and Hilarity Ensues.
2. Shawna could do the same, and they both have a long talk about Hiroshi, and their feelings for him, and whatnot.
3. Some new character who has not yet been introduced will show up and save the day for Castela... and the Love Decahedron will commence immediately!

Huh. She doesn't have a phone. I never realized that. It would make sense, to be honest. She probably has never had or felt the need to have a phone.
