Ugh. There's already too much diesel exhaust in the atmosphere now, robustly seasoned with the blue smoke from cars that urgently need a ring job.
And to this you propose to add the tangy essence of aerosolized radioactive moose entrails, delivered via a mushroom cloud?
Thank you so much.

Re: More Stuff
That would technically be a mooseshroom, but whatever, I don't think it matters much.
There is no such thing as a science experiment gone wrong.

You could perform the same process on flying squirrels to power aircraft. That might help to keep the moose fallout particles out of the clouds, so that it wouldn't rain deer.Dave wrote:Ugh. She's gained some weight since then, i think. That's what I was thinking, too. I wouldn't have known it was her, just from looking at the images from the eBay auctions.AnotherFairportfan wrote: She's gained some weight since then, i think. (Compare these clips from that page to the images in Taz's post)

Re: More Stuff
Paul's art seems to be moving toward another evolution - the pinups of Mrs Alger are rather rubenesque, as opposed to the relatively slender, long-legged female body type he's preferred up till now.
And some of (most of) the Shelly-Muscle-Butt pinups he's done lately are pushing the musculature to extremes, sliding toward grotesque if he goes much further.

Re: More Stuff
Yeah, me 'needer. A coupl'a thoughts:
EDIT- FPF, who slipped in a post while I was typing the following, has a point, (I think his post is in the groove with my general sentiments...)
- Paul will do b&w pictures and leave some ambiguity as to hair color, while focusing on curlyness and other attributes.
- He's gotten some comments, in past, re: the morphism of the character's bodies; Big Heads, Long and pronounced calves, short and seemingly insignificant thighs by comparison, etc, etc. (There was even some talk about an evolution to leonine noses, but I digress...). Here, otoh, we have a seemingly anti-Monica with Hips and Legs and nom-nom-nom as I put it, but less busty-ness. <-personal remark; smorgasbord is a good thing. Viva la Difference.
Still, this character, as seen in the ebay offerings, isn't really an Anti-Monica, despite my comparison, as she's got 'Folks on the Mezzanine' so to speak, to go along with a fully staffed 'Main Ball Room' in the lower portions. More Coke Bottle than Pyramid. huh. 'pyramid' <-- spell check has me thinking it's a pyrophiliac...
- Lastly, between the strip and the eBay stuff, it almost seems like two different people, but a closer examining of Panel Two; http://wapsisquare.com/comic/know-the-rules/ belies the 'shes-too-thin-to-be-the-same-gal', despite panel three's 3/4 turn, and I'm willing to chalk it up to loose sweater action and a lack of any imagery below the waist to anchor a telling physical reference point for one Ms. Alger.
Looking back on my in depth reply, to a secondary and ancillary character in an online web-strip, it's becoming more and more apparent that It's very likely I need to spend more time w/ real flesh and blood people.
I like the intellectual and visual stimulus I get here, and I love you guys, but my other senses are pouting in the corner...

Re: More Stuff
Most characters look a bit different between their daily comic look and their eBay character sketch look. And, for that matter, from their initial look in the daily strip to their later look in the daily strip (even when there's not a long lapse of time). I think that it takes a little while to settle on a decided look.AnotherFairportfan wrote:She's gained some weight since then, i think. I'm wondering if the unexpected interest by the readers in Ms. Alger is going to lead to her being a more frequent character in the series than she'd been planned on. And also if Abbie is any relation to the Moddey Dhoo or the Gurt Dog.

Re: More Stuff
(Do you hear that? I think I hear people screaming and running away. Do you hear people screaming and running away?)
I'm sure that Pablo will adjust her presence appropriately, based on the number (and identities) of the readers who seem interested in her in the different venues. The more people who talk about her presence in the strip itself (compared to the number of eBay bidders) the more likely she'll be to appear around the school. It's only appropriate that a who-ratio Alger be working with the troubled youth of today, you see.Catawampus wrote:I'm wondering if the unexpected interest by the readers in Ms. Alger is going to lead to her being a more frequent character in the series than she'd been planned on.
