Proof Positive the world is not flat: If it were, cats would have pushed everything off the edge by now.

Connie does a good Michael Jackson impression.

I wonder what Bud would think of Bia's description of the most traumatic experience of her existence?

Is it me, or did the text change in the speech bubble of the second panel? I could have sworn it was different, earlier.

Connie, Connie, Connie... you adorable little freak...
Oh yeah... that was all on purpose... now... how long will it take Bia to put two and two together? Methinks Connie is gonna have burnt popcorn if she's not careful.

Yep, Connie ducked down a dimensional hidey hole for a second then popped (ha) out to watch the show.

I was telling Kate about this sequence yesterday, and she said "But if she's Shelly's Conscience, why is she doing this sort of thing?"
And i said "Because she's SHELLY'S Conscience..."

That leads to the question though...AnotherFairportfan wrote:I was telling Kate about this sequence yesterday, and she said "But if she's Shelly's Conscience, why is she doing this sort of thing?"

Just what has Shelly done that her conscience is kicking back this hard? Usually we get into self flagellation when we do something that really bothers us that we did... we beat ourselves about the head and shoulders vigorously for what we feel we've done to deserve it... Question is... What did Shelly do that Connie decided this was the way to handle it?
Then again... Connie can be an obstinate little shit...

Re: The Last Time 2016-09-30
I don't think it's a matter of what Shelly did (specifically). It's a matter of what Shelly is. She's been rather a prankster herself... remember how she repeatedly blew up her gas grill to get Justin's attention? I think Connie is just giving Shelly back a bit of her own. Bassist, motorcycle mechanic, exile, guardian... Shelly doesn't have a career. She has a careen.DilyV wrote:Question is... What did Shelly do that Connie decided this was the way to handle it?
And, maybe, Connie decided that it was finally time for Shelly and Bia to have a good honest heart to heart talk. Bia seems to have grown back up out of early childhood again over there last few years, her father is pleased enough with her improved maturity to cancel the "an adult must approve your movements" restriction, and her language today seems more adult.
So, maybe these two can now talk as peers, for the first time in, well, ever. That would/ will probably be an interesting enough talk to cure an Elemental's boredom for quite some time.
