I was wrong yesterday.

Congratulations on the first post. I was in the middle of drafting and saw your post go up. I am intrigued to see where this goes, but then I do enjoy Pablo's storytelling.

You must admit, it was posted rather early, today...Bilbo54 wrote:Congratulations on the first post. I was in the middle of drafting and saw your post go up. I am intrigued to see where this goes, but then I do enjoy Pablo's storytelling.
As for me, had I but arrived a few minutes earlier from some odd shopping, I might have caught the first post...

Re: No Idea 2016-09-27
Abbie, where would you like these clue-by-fours?
Re: No Idea 2016-09-27
I'm not sure why she needs to be hit by a clue by four, seeing as Devyn isn't making a lick of sense.

Are those really clue-by-fours, or are they an archive of first posts?AmriloJim wrote:Abbie, where would you like these clue-by-fours?

That's because Abbie is being Intensely Annoying And Clueless.Akeche wrote:I'm not sure why she needs to be hit by a clue by four, seeing as Devyn isn't making a lick of sense.

Better make it at least a clue-by-six.AmriloJim wrote:Abbie, where would you like these clue-by-fours?

Boz is new, Abbie was the one with the crush, Devyn is still awesome.

We might need to go out and find an old barn and reclaim one of those huge structural beams you just can't seem to find nowadays.AnotherFairportfan wrote:Better make it at least a clue-by-six.AmriloJim wrote:Abbie, where would you like these clue-by-fours?

Re: No Idea 2016-09-27
You'll notice that Devyn failed to explicitly deny that she has a crush on Abbie, even though that would have been very easy to slip in without breaking the flow of conversation. You could very easily put "I don't have a crush on you!" either before or after "You have no idea what you're talking about!" and it fits in seamlessly.
And since teenagers are especially defensive about matters of identity, if Devyn wasn't interested in girls in general or Abbie specifically, it would be very odd for her to not use this context to clarify her sexual identity, unless she was specifically avoiding mentioning it, which is something that straight people almost never feel compelled to do.
I'm hoping this is some sort of narrative double head-fake, because those are always fun.

Here, try this one. Made it back in my early CAD days in Autodesk Inventor. Note the chamfered handle for easier gripAmriloJim wrote:Abbie, where would you like these clue-by-fours?

Oh, and this strip is the third Wapsi strip to be titled "No Idea".
Can you guess what the other two were before you click on the links to them?
"No Idea" 2 is from earlier this year.
"No Idea" 1 is from a number of years ago.

That might not be Devyn's fault, though. As we've seen, when she gets agitated enough, the Victorian greenhouse opens and yanks people inside. Abbie already got her angry earlier, and now she's pouring alcohol on the open wound by misinterpreting the cause of Devyn's upset. It might be "I've got to get away from my best friend right now or SHE GETS FED TO THE TEDDY BEAR!!!"Akeche wrote:I'm not sure why she needs to be hit by a clue by four, seeing as Devyn isn't making a lick of sense.
(I'm hoping some day we find out what's going on there. But maybe not. We still don't know why Conscience hangs out in a boiler room in Shelly's head.)

I have to wonder what Devyn herself experiences in the Nether. She seems to have some influence over it, and can just leave it if somebody in the normal world starts talking to her. How much conscious control over it does she have?eee wrote:That might not be Devyn's fault, though. Then there's Cricket. She knew about Nether and what goes on in it. How? And what did she see and do when it last appeared?
And then there's the Nether itself. Is it some actual place that's in existence all the time but on some separate plane from our reality, such as the Library or the Demon Realm or California? Or is it just a general term for a type of temporary dimension that is generated and then shut down when no longer in use?
Perhaps time will tell. Or not.
The ambience suits her, plus there's ample hot water always on hand for bubble baths and cups of tea.eee wrote:We still don't know why Conscience hangs out in a boiler room in Shelly's head.)
