So Mature 2016-09-02

Post by Dave »

Yup. No doubt about it.

So, what would "senioritis" look like in a group of high-calibre paras? When Pickle reaches the senior class, will there be any teacher or administrator capable of glaring her back to work if she decides to slack off?

I suppose them singing so mature is no worse than me playing schools out back in my senior year.

My guess: drop an octave or two, growl it out, and try to sound profound.

Well, we know what Atsali goes on to do. Nadette... not so much.

A somewhat macabre thought just occurred to me: I've heard of people cutting off someone else's tie as a prank... That could get messy, with a ursamorph!

(Nadette shows up with an Apron made of Rubber and some Goggles on her eyes, elbow length rubber gloves on each hand, a wicked grin on her face, and a pneumatic device in her hand; pointed away from people as protocol defines it should be until use and says...)

"Atsali dear?, I'm here for your periodic Lube and Rotation..."

Where I work it's a rite of passage into management . . . it's expected that a new manager will wear a tie on his first official day in management, and a designated person in the shop (not sure how they select the designee) will cut it off about six inches below the knot.

Many of the new managers keep the cut-off end as a keepsake . . . I've seen several framed under glass.

What can you expect? They've been there in school for what probably feels like forever to them... since one million BC at least. They probably woke up screaming with boredom a lot.

Finally they've made it to the top status (of high school, at least). They won! They're mature!

They're entitled to take a holliday, dress up in the red, hot, and blue, put a moss rose into their hair, do a musical number, and perform the Song of the Victor.

Yeah, what Jim said.

I'm really digg'n Nadette's look in the last panel- Mr. Pablo has certainly developed his skills over the years...

btw- Are all of you guys in on the inside, re: "We're So Mature, So Mature fer Sure...", as in, are these well known song lyrics or something? (I keep getting MILF references during a standard Google search...)

(editted) Note that I'm making references to a certain acronym but I'm not actually posting anything along those lines, in fact the links are pretty harmless, unintentionally hilarious in fact, click on them with assurance and wild abandon...)

This was pretty good;

It's got some Birthday Wishes theme to someone named... wait for it... INKY! (yeah, although maybe not _our_ Inky, but still... inky), and while I had to view it in 144/low rez mode, it showed some deftness with the song and cartoon mash-up going on in the background.

And then there's THIS, which is not MILF by any means, (well, I didn't really watch the whole ten minuet recap of their internet career, but it's what you think of when you mourn the Future and our up and coming generation...)

But I still am not convinced "We're So Mature" is a 'real' song. If not, we need to pass the hat & sponsor some really fer'real Down wit da Punk Gal to record a video...
