I believe that Atsali is currently 17, which makes the stinkweed a robust eight at most.

Of course, that's assuming that she actually was five/six when she started kindergarten back after being adopted by Kath... which recent events suggest are not exactly correct.

I thought that someone had said something about Castella being ten now. I might be misremembering thanks to Atsali mentioning her tween year growth spurt.

If I'm wrong, chalk it up to being half awake when I checked the update and posted.

At any rate, we've still had some level of time. Castella was 6 last we knew. And, Kath's gray streak has become more pronounced.

There was a picture of her at age ten holding a bokken, but I think that it was a sort of "look ahead" picture similar to the ones of her at even later ages.

In either case, Atsali and probably most of her friends are now old enough to drive. Look out, Minnesota!

Just then, Katherine Gilchrist poked her head into Atsali's room.
"Hello, dear," Kath began. "Are your two guests leaving?"
"Oh, hi, Ms. Gilchrist," Berdine said. "Yeah, we were heading back home."
"Please – Katherine is fine. 'Miss Gilchrist' makes me sound like I'm 65 instead of 45."
Nadette grinned a bit at this.
"We do need to use the Library portal system, though," Berdine said. "Neither of us have our temps yet."
"I think I'd be too nervous when it came time to take my driving test," Atsali thought out loud. "My wings would probably pop out – and that probably wouldn't be a good thing."
"With the family you have, I don't think you'd need a car," Nadette said. She turned to her sister. "I have to go say bye to Castela, or she'll think I'm angry at her."
