Heads of the malevolent in the chambers of the secret government would, indeed, have an impact on their further actions.

It wouldn't have to go that way . . . if Her Majesty is an absolute monarch, she can order peoples' deaths.

Up until the time that she's seen by her people as being a bigger threat than the nominal enemy . . .

Of course she's the Queen of the Fae, not paras in general. Nor humanity.

To be perfectly honest I fully understand wanting to have a weapon that can deal with creatures like Lorraine. That shit is terrifying and only brings up the many possibilities of whether they were wrong about whom to target, what kind of backlash it could have if we're talking about the US Senate floor(I highly doubt that, I feel it'd be suicide to the paranormal community) or some kind of secret "True" government Illuminati stuff behind the scenes.

I also doubt that we're talking about the US Senate... MIB would have their hands full to cover up a Sick Snowman materializing on C-SPAN.

And (almost) everybody knows it.
The Paras are effectively a sovereign nation living on everybody's territory. As such, they act accordingly.
Some resent this because of their own need to feel safe, or at least in control, but this instance is a simple violation of an ongoing armistice.
As long as the Paras keep to their promise of maintaining a low profile, and they will continue to do so to preserve the benefits of social intercourse, incidents like this will be tolerated for the sake of peace, and the object lessons will continue to be sent.
But the incidents will, unfortunately, continue simply because of the nature of all life.
Life is of necessity opportunistic, and will inevitably explore every possible course of action.
Blood will be spilt, but the peace will be preserved.

All mythologies hold that the Paranormals existed first and humans followed-thus, WE are encroaching on THEIR territory, not the other way around. WE are the species that invented war. WE are the species that have created technology devoted to mass destruction. WE came up with the concept of 'standing armies'. If I had been involved in the Paras decision making process during antiquity, I would have advocated elimination of the species to avoid trouble... but then, I am a human and that is how we tend to think whether we admit it or not.
Given our history, xenophobia and capacity for inhuman behavior, I would say the Paranormal society has been insanely tolerant of us. Man kills for sport- often enough, our own kind. Ultimately, every species on the planet has suffered death at our hands. Yes, we live in an 'enlightened' age where senseless killing is frowned upon and enslavement is 'illegal''- yet both practices thrive in many parts of the planet.

In short- the species most capable of 'inhuman' acts is in fact human. To that, I will bear witness.

Even if the Golem Girls got involved, no one would win a war between humanity and Paranormals. Some would survive, but they would lose countless friends and loved ones.

The Golem girls would likely lose Jin prematurely. Bud would lose Kevin. They would lose Kath and maybe Atsali and maybe Castela.

Survivors of a Global War of Extinction are just as much losers of that war as the ones killed in it. Depending on what you believe or don't believe, it could be said the ones that continue to live have to keep going burdened with this crushing loss of friends and loved ones. The dead may cease to exist and are spared that burden.

A war like that isn't about who wins and who loses. It's about who survives, who rebuilds, and whether or not they learned the lesson: coexist and cooperate or lose all that which you hold dear.

Nobody wins.

I recommend it, certainly.

It has one of the greatest villain non-monologs ever.

I do believe they already had that war.. para vs magic vs demons - it made a nuclear bomb look like a sparkler... they don't want it again, but they have to keep 'reminding' the stupid humans....

you need to go back a few steps, start here.. http://wapsisquare.com/comic/lost-girl/

look at the text in the comic..
"stupid humans! why do they keep messing with crap that they know damn well is going to destroy them?"

"the humans created a titan-like creature and it blew up in their faces..."

WHY do you think most big countries are developing weapons of war??????

Just suppose Hiroshima did not happen, so the military were still sure their latest 'super bomb' would be the best solution to terrorist threat.. without the shock value of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, a bomb 1000 times bigger would be dropped, potentially turning most of southern Japan into ocean...... (the Hiroshima bomb was 'only' 15 Kt , the Nagasaki bomb was 'only' 21 Kt - recent ones are MEGA tonnes...)
