This might actually resolve some of Nadette's concerns. She's been getting worried about Atsali's increasing aggressiveness. Now 'Sali has been given a lesson she may never forget about using violence without thinking ("Devyn and Abbie are paranormals, each perhaps capable of unleashing massive destruction. There is a bear near them. How much danger are they actually in, and should I go down there like gangbusters and beat up the bear, or just swoop down and see what's happening? And where's Nadette?"). With great power comes the responsibility of not being careless.

I could see Astali breaking up with her over this.

Specifically, Atsali breaking up with Nadette because of Atsali's guilt. (Nadette will forgive Atsali . . . if she hasn't already.)

That's why I was suggesting that Nadette might play on Atsali's guilt a bit . . . make Atsali feel like she paid for the mistake, so she doesn't have to do something more dramatic to pay for it.

I have wondered abou the protocalol of your natural form. Is it polite to ask? Is it common knowlage? Is it a sign of trust to let someone know?
I can see figuring some of it out from just regular social interaction. But most of the paras we know spend most of their time in glamour...

The ursamorph twins just straight-out asked Atsali and Castela about theirs within minutes of first meeting her, so either they're horribly socially gauche or else it's not too rude to ask. I'd expect that there's probably some basic etiquette about it, though. "Hey, you! Yeah, you! What sorta critter are ya?!?" might not go over very well.

They'd need a few curtained booths on/near the stage - some of them LARGE - because shapeshifting in general doesn't take care of the clothes. (There are exceptions of various sorts, and of course if your shapeshifting doesn't make major changes in overall shape and doesn't enlarge you, or if it significantly shrinks you, your clothes are probably fine even if they don't adjust with you. But Atsali, for example, is really hard on shirts - both fronts and backs.)

Well, apparently they have species-identification classes. (I don't recall if they are canonical.) But that would probably be only for when they are in human form; identifying a sphinx in feral form doesn't require much training. And knowing how to recognize that human-Atsali is a siren wouldn't prepare you for that toothed beak or those hind claws.

Levitate, get on flying platforms, have force fields that block weapons fire...

They're getting more and more dangerous with each appearance. You can see how they could have wiped out the Time Lords.

I get the impression that most of the hugs given out in the Wapsi-world would be fatal to the average ordinary human.

I'm not qualified... I'm in my lower 20's. I've just seen a few of the older episodes.

yep. That was the thing that made Star Wars such a phenomenon.
