Oh crap. That's actually a problem, particularly if she's got kids. Hell hath no fury like a mother's scorn, and there is no animal more ornery than a sow protecting her kids. Worse, they tend to travel in packs. And that is one of the few things the entire group will work together on.

Time to break out the drum-fed full-auto shotguns, the belt-fed .50 machine guns, the Daisy Cutters and the Napalm.

Get back by 400 to 500 yards and find somebody who can reliably hit a 55 gallon oil drum at that distance. Wait 'till the bulk of the herd is within 20 feet of said can. let 'er rip. Start collecting pork. Questions?

I took my truck in for repairs on Thursday, May 5th... still waiting for it to be done...

• The wheel bearings they ordered were the wrong ones, so they had to order new ones...
• The universal joints had some sort of bearing in them, which makes them uncommon. It was cheaper to send the drive shafts and universal joints to the company that makes those, and have them replace on site and balance the drive shafts than to have the company send the the parts (say what?)
• Once said company was done rebuilding the universal joints and balancing the drive shafts, they sent them to the wrong garage, and sent the garage my truck is at the drive shafts for another vehicle, so they had to fix the switcheroo
• Once all the issues were taken care of with the front components, they were no longer making noise, which stopped covering the noise being made by the rear differential
• Opening the rear differential, they realized it was in bad shape and needed to be replaced (that was a surprise to me, as it had been replaced in 2012, though I can't remember if it was with a used one or a rebuilt one)
• the truck is too old, they can't find a used one anywhere

• they will have to take my rear differential out, and send it to a company that will rebuilt it (hopefully, it won't cost six million dollars... )
• in theory, I should have it back by Tuesday or Wednesday...

I guess that's what you get, when driving a 1991 model truck...

Here's how they do it in Eastern Europe- start by baiting a field. after they get used to free food, you have an idea of the size of the herd. Then figure how much ground to contain them. Built one cyclone fence at the site. In a week, they get used to it and ignore it. Then build another fence, cornering off the first. Let them get used to it. Eventually, you have three fence section- then narrow the opening to fit a gate but don't put the gate up just yet. Once they get used to that, rig a gate that can snap shut and lock. Once the number inside is to your liking, drop the gate- they'll run around and make noise for a bit, then settle down to more food.

It is tactically very similar to how progressives destroy your liberties and rights...

1991 GMC Suburban. It met all the requirements I had for years, for my dream vehicle: a Suburban that is old enough to be the sqarish model (1991 was the last year for that model), diesel, 4X4, 3 row seating, luggage rack on top, trailer hitch in the back.

Wow, I should have just taken my friend up on that job at the Remington factory.

So far, I'd only been shown how to do the initial wash on the new inventory, and there's a lot to do.

However, seeing as how we have only one wash bay, and the other guys move something else into it almost immediately, I can't do jack shit today. I've been here three hours and washed FOUR CARS.

You know... every time I see 'all natural' as a selling point for a product, with the implication that it must be healthier because it is 'all natural', I resist the urge to scribble on said sign "So is Nightshade, Foxglove, and Poison Ivy. That doesn't mean I want to get anywhere near it."

All natural does not necessarily mean safe, in fact it can often mean the reverse, because those who tout 'all natural' as a selling point likely are not aware of herbology enough to be aware of certain idiosyncrasies certain plants have. People don't seem to realize that the same plant from which we get cocoa for chocolate is the same plant we get the extract for cocaine from.

I always thought it was weird they had the same name.

But then, any green part of a potato plant is toxic. Including the potato itself if it isn't completely covered when you plant them.

Also, I'm apparently just waiting on work. Whenever a new vehicle comes in, we have to give it an initial wash, called a PDI. I don't know what that stands for. There's a bunch we can't get to, because other cars are blocking them in. I'm wondering at the moment if there's a reason we haven't just wrote down the VINs for those cars, then found the keys and MOVED THE DAMN THINGS so we can wash the remaining cars.

I really hate sitting around like this. I should be doing something. At the very least, they could show me how to do something else.

That's 'cause it isn't the same plant.

Cocaine comes from Erythroxylum coca, while cocoa and chocolate come from Theobroma cacao.

They're distantly related: both are angiosperms in the rosids clade. Below that clade, though, their ancestries are different - they're in different orders and definitely not in the same family or genus.

Ummm. no- coca leaves and cacao beans come from different plants.. but I do agree about 'all natural'. Hemlock is all natural. So is horse shit. I wouldn't put either one in my mouth
