My recovery is going well. Only problems now is the bubbles on my feet (no pain or itch, go figure) and the skin peeling off of my hands.

It's weird. The rash on my hands didn't form blisters, but when it faded, every red bump had been replaced by a pocket of dead skin with a flake of skin from a lower layer trapped inside.

My hands feel gritty, but at least they don't itch.

so grandma's a lesbian?

My hands no longer feel gritty! There's still a little dead skin on my hands, and I removed a few square inches of skin from my heels. Problem is that the skin was about a millimeter thick, so I had to use a pair of nail clippers to remove it.

Which sucks because I have to rebuild those callouses now. They were thick enough that I literally wouldn't feel anything touching my heel unless there was either a certain amount of pressure or vibration (like something dragging across the prints).

Ruh Roh! Wrong guess!

I have to admit, I don't care that much for the plot, but it has its moments...

Yanno, fun bit of trivia: He's taken over Casem's voice role...with his guidance...and blessing.
Yanno how some people have Angels/Devils for a conscience? I have a Dark Elf ShadowKnight and a Half Elf Ranger for mine. The really bad part is when they agree on something.

A plumber in Texas traded in his truck. The dealer's people assured him that they would take care of removing his business logo from the truck.

Eventually, the truck - still with his name and phone number prominently displayed - wound up in an video showing terrorists using it in a raid in Syria.

He's suing for a million.

Considering Colbert lampooned it in a show, business rep shredded, and getting thousands of death threats, I'd say he's not asking for enough.

I'd really like to know how his old truck wound up there.

Most likely bulk auction. Some businesses buy used work vehicles to start a new business, and bulk auctions are a great way to save money.

My buddy's Mom bought a small fleet of used work vans, spent the savings getting vinyl decals and tool racks inside. Two years later, she was able to buy all new and sell off the old fleet(though she had all the decals and racks pulled).

According to the NPR report i linked, it was sold at auction in November 2013 and exported as part of a shipment to Turkey in December, at which point it apparently entered a cross-border black market in such vehicles.

second day in a row I've shown up at work, and nobody's here. I was supposed to clock in 15 minutes ago.

I'd call my boss, but given the difficulty I've had getting in contact with him, I feel it'll just be a waste of time.

Edit: I'm gonna call tomorrow before I even leave the house. I don't have the money for all the gas I wasted, and I'm only going up there if I know for sure that I'll be working.

If I can get in touch with him, I'll try to carefully explain, and if I wind up out of a job, I have the number of one of his competitors.

Extended-cab pickup trucks are serious business in the Middle East and Central Asia. They're basically a form of alternate currency. If you want to bribe somebody, or show off your status and wealth, they're the way to go.

That means that you automatically become the boss and get to renegotiate your pay rates with yourself, right?

what sucks is I started working there on the 7th of this month. I haven't even been paid yet, and I think I'm already out of a job. I haven't heard anything from him, and they have my phone number. It's at the top of my resume, which was on his wife's desk Saturday. And considering the last number I called him at must have been his cell phone, he'd have it there, too.

So if he'd been expecting me up there, he'd have been there, and noticed I wasn't. So I don't know if they changed the hours they're gonna work and decided not to tell me.

I'm getting tired of relying on people.
