Break a leg A-Man,
and Thx GM for the link. I'm stuck 'circling the airport, waiting to land' as I resolve archiving my preexisting OEM partitions (which I never use, but don't want to loose...).

Sure thing, Taz. Feel free to resurrect that thread if you have problems with W10... If I can't help you, someone here probably can.

Re: More Stuff
I just decided to try my hand at using remote desktop. I am now browsing the internet, listening to music, and posting this on my Windows 7 computer through my Android cell phone.

Dunno why you'd wanna do that when there's the IPB buddy app on iTunes, but that's just me.

Hmmm. Seems to me there was a post here a second ago ... mentioning a book listed on Amazon ... and making a joke based on remembering something incorrectly...

Well, you got a few details wrong, but I realized I had put that post in the wrong place. So I deleted it and found a better place for it.AnotherFairportfan wrote:Hmmm. Seems to me there was a post here a second ago ... mentioning a book listed on Amazon ...

Re: More Stuff
Because everything I'm seeing about IPB Buddy says it's only for reading Invision Power Board message boards and nothing else. Using RDP I have nearly the full power of my desktop in my hands, no gimped mobile anything. I also just realized the connection can be set so audio still comes out of the server. This means with my computer now reconnected to my stereo I can remote control my music collection from anywhere in the house.jwhouk wrote:Dunno why you'd wanna do that when there's the IPB buddy app on iTunes, but that's just me.
Also also, my phone is Android, not Apple.
Also also also, phoneception. Using my phone to control Windows to browse my phone.

Don't remember if I mentioned that I lost my job at Home Depot ('bout time, too), but I've got an interview tomorrow with the owner of a local light and sound company that sets up concerts and the like. Easy stuff, and apparently he also does some work in Memphis during May for a certain festival, and from what I was told, expenses are paid.
Now I just gotta make a resume and meet the guy by tomorrow.

Cool beans. My brother started out as an under-age roadie to a local jazz Band and has since gotten a degree in 'putting on a show'-something-or-the-other. (Been on tour w/ a bunch of folks, from Silicon Valley chipset rollouts in Taiwan to Ziggley Marley...)Alkarii wrote:Don't remember if I mentioned that I lost my job at Home Depot ('bout time, too), but I've got an interview tomorrow with the owner of a local light and sound company that sets up concerts and the like. Heck, I've even worked Stage Hand a bit here and there, inc at Stanford University Football games
(prior to the rebuild they had a running track between the grass and the seats and before game-time we'd roll out these big asse'd speakers and a huge ol Mixing Board, complete w/ Cables and interconnects and 'Put on a Show!', and then watch the game from the sidelines, then roll it all up again after tha game).
It can be a great experience and a job in the mean time to boot, just be sure to:
Always lift with your legs, not your back.
Pace yourself; don't burn up the road on your first day.
& most importantly
Study and listen to the Old Hands; they are survivors for a reason.

Nah! I type like a T-Rex, so if I just cross my ring and pinky fingers I won't be impacted at all....other than it feeling a little weird to have those fingers crossed.lake_wrangler wrote:Won't it be hard to type on the keyboard, that way?Julie wrote:I'll keep my fingers crossed!Alkarii wrote:Don't remember if I mentioned that I lost my job at Home Depot ('bout time, too), but I've got an interview tomorrow with the owner of a local light and sound company that sets up concerts and the like.
