I had to take them off my phone. They were taking up too much memory.

"Gilk!" must be the psychological equivalent to dragging the tonearm and needle clear across the record.
Or, in railroad terms, a derail.
It's pretty clear Nadette dudn't get the memo. Or, at least, not the right memo.
Fortunately, she's still a student, and there are a whole bunch of eager and motivated teachers present.

ok, not into ponies but i can understand their line of thinking. it is possible i might be the same when it comes to Star Trek or Hienlien books or zombies.

Hopefully, after her programming, Nadette will be in a more appropriate costume. Unless this is one of those times she wore actual clothes.
Re: Pony Theme 2015-10-29
So, when Atsali was gushing at length about ponies, Nad was having an "eyes up here" failure. I can see that, and so did she.

I loved the "GILK!"
I ride my bike to ride my bike, and sometimes it takes me where I need to go.
Re: Pony Theme 2015-10-29
When I clicked into the strip for tonight, all I could see on my screen were the top two cells... at GILK... I thought uh-oh... especially with Devyn's expression... the middle frames were a surprise... Devyn and friends are clueless as to what just happened between Nadette and Atsali (Devyn and friends sticking on the lack of Pwny knowledge)... Nadette is clueless as to what a Pwny is... and Atsali is clueless as to Nadette's joke (I'm assuming). Hey, has anyone seen Reese Witherspoon around at this party?

You know that light at the end of the tunnel?
Yeah... it's a bullet. Sorry.
Yeah... it's a bullet. Sorry.
Re: Pony Theme 2015-10-29
I know the strip is greyscale, but there should have been a clue to the
Readers that Atsali has colored stripes in her hair.
(OK.... The clue was "I'm Rainbow Dash")

Wow....generous man. A cord of clue-by-fours is going about 450 bucks around here this Autumn...DilyV wrote: *drops a cord of clue by fours in the pun vault. They're gonna need them...*

Devyn is a cutie when she's not in her gloom-space, isn't she? Something about that glow of fanaticism just lights up her face...

Ah, so I was wrong about Nadette knowing about MLP and being dressed as a jockey as a sort of dominance joke. But in my defense, I point to Devyn's and Abbie's reaction: Once you get MLP fans talking about their show, you are info-slammed. I can't imagine how she's managed to avoid that, around Atsali.
I *do* like the 'rainbow cat girl' comment. I knew those ears were too short. And even in her ignorance, Nad still chose a costume that is kinkily appropriate...

Social faux pas?
Deven to the rescue!
I'm really getting to like Devyn--she rocks.
She wasn't "Gilked" by Nadette's lack of pony knowledge, but horrified at the misunderstanding's potential for an emotional train wreck between her friend and her freind's sweetheart. Swoops in and fixes it like it aint no thing.
(and for reasons I caint esplain, mu spellchecker is on ta fritsz)

Where are we going and why am I in this handbasket?
Re: Pony Theme 2015-10-29
Now that I think about it, we had both a Horse AND a Pony when I was a little kid; and my re-located Caribbean Grandfather had to pull a long ol' tape worm out of the Horse one day. ('ick' to the nth degree), so it is with some forethought that I am resisting all things 'My Little Pony'.

Ah, there's nothing quite like a Pony Evangelist. If they can wrangle a few minutes in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber, Nadette should be all AJ'd up by the time she gets back. Prepare your kiester, little cub, because...

(Yes, McFly, I'm a brony. Though not a con-goer, nor a cosplayer, and definitely not an evangelist.)
