Oh thank whatever God is looking out for me...I'm not the oldest one in the room anymore!
I was tired of faceplanting when those darn kids were passing around their shared braincell(actually not this forum, but many of them in general)wouldn't get off mah lawn! *shakes surprise walking stick at the sky*

Yanno how some people have Angels/Devils for a conscience? I have a Dark Elf ShadowKnight and a Half Elf Ranger for mine. The really bad part is when they agree on something.

My age really depends on when you start counting from: When I was born from my mother, or when I wasn't dead any more. By the first I'm 56, by the second I'm 13. Waitaminit, 13? Oh [$DEITY] I'm a teenager again!

Wasn't trying to make anyone feel old (or not as the case may be).
I'm just thrilled to not feel like some creepy old guy lurking around in the corner. Ther's more than a few of us here past the not-to-be-trusted age (over 30 for those of you who don't know who Jack Weinberg is).
Anyway, webcomics are so much more fun than paper ones are...

Interesting! A Young Adult web novel being dutifully followed and analyzed by a collection of well seasoned baby-boomers! (58 myself)
Nice to (finally) be in with the "In" Crowd!
And Jessie -- oh yeah -- been there. Good luck with that.

Re: Jessie:
Not sure if there's a way she can mitigate this without screaming. The others need to be shocked out of their groove by some well-placed histrionics - a quick shot of "Whaaaaa?" should stop the "trap or opportunity?" musings, methinks.
Other than that, a well-placed clue-by-four might work if applied repeatedly.

Re: Only A Test 2015-06-12
I've gotta say: I really enjoy the writing regarding Jessie.
She started out as a pretty obvious high school queen bitch, albeit an honorable one, turned out to be human(for a given value of 'human'), concerned for others, protective of someone who she could have seen as a rival to undermine, and now actively encouraging widespread bonding, thus endangering the whole notion of queen bitch status.
I'm really happy to see a cool, well-rounded person written, rather than the easy archetype that we've been beaten to death with since.. John Hughes, at least.
Regarding age.. let's see.. I'll be 39 chronologically next month, plus dog-years for each year deployed, so 67.. I'm claiming, say, three years for each bullet wound- that brings us to 73; I'm not sure how to calculate a teenage daughter, so I'll leave that out for now.
So, I'm gonna go ahead and claim my entitlement to an honorable death now, before things get ugly.
Knowing me, I'll forget my dementia meds, and have no idea who shit my pants.
**Edited for clarity**

Y'know, I've got a nice, concise, little avatar pic that I've been using for ten damned years, and this is the first place I've ever tried to use it that said it was too big.

I'll have to respectfully disagree on that. Some, oh yeah, definitely. But it's generally because the official story/narrative sounds screwy and things don't add up, or seem to be outright fabrication(s)., or something painfully obvious is seen
Hell, watch the news cast first announcing JFK being shot for an example of fabrication. Then there's the back of his skull cap being blasred out which would indi ate that the shot came from a low level, probably from a storm drain.

I'd appreciate it if you didn't go any further with this line of thought.
I'm still trying to find out what my Statute of Limitations would be.
I mean, I've got a pretty solid alibi, but I don't want to push my luck.

I agree, it's striking and impressive that a "comic" earns such thoughtful commentary and discussion. They ain't just for kids any more!

We should probably have an age group survey for giggles. In any case I'm 46.
As for today's comic, I just picture Jessie yelling to herself, "Jesus f^@%ing captain crunch berries! You have got to be kidding me!"
I am curious if Paul went and drew Jessie's entire form and then edited her into the frame to be exiting stage left.

just one irk about 'conspiracy theories' ... the worst ones are by young or inexperienced older people, that cannot believe how things were done without technology! back in the 60's there were no such thing as the fast movie cameras, and advanced optics we have today... they see a lens flare or an internal reflection, and call it a ufo!

I have an LEM cutout model on my desk, and I still honestly can't believe we made to to the moon and back with that contraption.
But they did. And we have the visual proof of satellite photos of the Sea of Tranquility.

Sorry, I'm a high-functioning autistic and sometimes I take the few advantages it gives for granted.
For neurotypicals ( "normal" people), it probably is fulminant over-thinking. For neuroatypicals, it'sanything from unique thing patterns, to enhanced sense, to plain old paranoia. EDIT: or they're just crazy.
As an example of unique thinking/logic. In conversation, we've gone from talking about dinosaurs to Hitler in under 10 minutes. Criticizing main stream archaeology, paleontology, and historians along the way, while also discussing language. The conductor and I left the engineer and the breakman scratching their heads. And the breakman even asked how the hell it had even happened.

Oh gods, the ancient alien visitation conspiracies . . . because the people who survived the last ice age, H. sapiens just like us, who had nothing to work with but rocks, vegetation, and animal parts, were too stupid to make string and lay out a straight line?
As a kid, I loved the UFO stuff, but eventually I noticed that all the alleged evidence is cynical recursive misdirection or deranged paranoia. Fun to read in bed at 13, but c'mon. I quit subscribing to National Geographic after almost 35 years partly because of the crap on their cable channel.
And you might wonder how I subscribed to Nat Geo for almost 35 years, when I just turned 39 in January? Easy! I've turned 39 every January since 1993.

Just turned 30 last week. I've been following the comic since sometime in either 2010 or 2011. Possibly before Tepoz first showed up. Not entirely sure but I think it was right before the paranormal stuff started getting introduced. It's hard to peg down because it's been longer than 5 years, and I go through a comic's entire archive if I decide to start reading it regularly.
