The sad thing is, they think Atsali's look is one of superior Scorn... Atsali thinks their looks are mocking her. Someone please, swing a clue by four and hit all of them!
You know that light at the end of the tunnel?
Yeah... it's a bullet. Sorry.

They think shes a goddess and she wants to be like them. yea i had a lot of pretty girls tell me it was like that for them in school. Them wishing they had her looks and her wishing she could have a normal conversation with a guy.

A round of panic for everyone.
I ride my bike to ride my bike, and sometimes it takes me where I need to go.

Unfortunately, I don't think the class in Advanced Interpretation Of Facial Expressions And Body Language From A Distance is given until senior year. Even then, it's an AP course, and a lot of the kids ditch class and go hang out at the Paranormall instead.
(The situation reminds me a bit of Busby's Larka-Te. "Among themselves, they communicate as much by facial expression as by words, and mostly with variations, or modes as they call them, of the smile. A Larka-Te may say 'Welcome', and be smiling in anything from the 'My home is yours' mode to the 'I have waited long for vengeance' mode. Limited to just words, they have a difficult time. The ones here have had a lot of practice, but... try to hold down on the grins.")

This....is going to be problematic. One party too shy, the other too afraid to even attempt to talk to each other...
(I was one of the "cool" kids in college..apparently.. However,Oblivious me néver knew that.., I always thought I was shunned, because I did stuff my way, and didn't hang-out with cliques. Until the reunion, where people informed me of my "coolness" ..whut??? Nów You tell me? Not when I was madly in love, but far too shy to act upon it, although I admit I díd hang out with many of the "It" girls, but théy didn't interest me "in that way" (probably the véry reason they liked hanging-out with me) . The girl i díd fall for was ,as I found out at he reunion, also too shy to act..tsch.. Story of my life.. )

Can't relate. I was one of the kids that got beaten repeatedly by his peers and got spit on. For years. We're talking face sewn back on level beatings. So, no. I cannot relate to you being one of the "cool" kinds nor do I relate to this scene.Jay-Em wrote:(I was one of the "cool" kids in college..apparently..)
My experience was that social outcasts don't even hang out with other social outcasts because even the uncool kids don't want to be seem with THEM. I suppose it's different for girls.

Will 'The Brick' have the good sense and courage to walk up to them and have a normal conversation?

All of them need to be assigned to read the original version of the "Little Mermaid" by Anderson. They might just get the point. Probably not though.oldmanmickey wrote:They think shes a goddess and she wants to be like them. yea i had a lot of pretty girls tell me it was like that for them in school. Ambush questions are fun. Watching the mental impact of them as they distort, or crumble, opinions based on faulty logic.

We need something or someone to force all these dingbats together and make them talk to resolve this.
I don't see such a deus ex machina around, but maybe. On the other hand, Atsali and Co. ARE somewhat focused on confronting pool management at the moment...

Yanno how some people have Angels/Devils for a conscience? I have a Dark Elf ShadowKnight and a Half Elf Ranger for mine. The really bad part is when they agree on something.

Somewhat similar to my experience... not as severe as what you describe, but sufficient to motivate me through Ranger School- I wanted to come back looking for those who beat me. Oddly enough, most of the guys who made the grade in Ranger School had somebody at home they figured they owed an ass-whipping to. Vengeance can be a helluva motivator. After I went through it, the idea of looking somebody up for payback seemed perfectly stupid... those who I graduated with were of similar mind.captnq wrote:Can't relate. I guess once you prove to yourself you CAN do it, it is not important.
