Just because the little ball of brierthorn has frequent trouble stringing the words together, doesn't mean she can't think - and that she *can* think is well-demonstrated.

I kind of distinguish the hollow asterisk pop from the light bulb as "Hey, waitaminute..." Versus "oh, I have an idea!"

Recursive speech loops are extremely common in her age group. Their thoughts fly so fast, their mouths just can't keep up. It's not so much an impediment as a stage in speech development.

Also, it really isn't a reaction to what we think of as stress; it's more about now excited she is.
