It hasn't been mentioned, but Medusa was the mortal sister of the trio. So it is strongly suggested, especially with all previous talk about her being past tense.

- In rereading/watching the 'Millennium Trilogy' (Girl with the Dragon tattoo, ...who Played with Fire, ...who Kicked the Hornet's Nest) recently, it came to my attention that the (mostly rural) way-far-Northern folks in Sweden, (who differ in many ways from the more cosmopolitan urban southerners), have a custom of Offering Coffee to Visitors- and it's a done hard and far from weak, non-see-through style cup o' joe.

Can we get any confirmation from some forum Scandinavians on that?

PS- the Upper/Downer Inversion, Coffee as a focuser thing; I'm thinking the use of the caffeine helps to enhance personal perception in the current reality, making focus actually easier, if non-intuitive a conclusion.
In other words, it might 'amp things up', granted, but that increased cerebral activity might be making paying attention to something more desirable and rewarding...

Yet another female character.

Don't get me wrong, Paul has the right to do whatever he wants with his comic, but I'm starting to do the very same thing I did as a kid : Writing down when my most hated math teacher used the same turn of phrase for the nth time and not listening to what he was actually saying, losing interest.

It's not that the characters are funny or not, it's just that I fail to understand the reasoning behind adding another piece to the soup; the cast is big enough and they all have stories to tell (even the Bartender). The last bloke was a pretty standard self-conscious geek depicted as a supposed Atsali's love/lust/crush interest, little or no depth.

We have a lot of interesting characters but we're thrown another one, cycles stories are becoming shorter before yet another member is introduced.

And I don't want especially to see the blokes back, even if they do have stories worth telling (Alan or Justin coping would be nice to see).

But Dietzel, hown long since we've seen D or Tepoz?.

Yeah, Paul does use a loooot of characters. I dunno what he's up to, but it's obviously working fairly well, as Wapsi is still the first item on my Webcomic checklist. Maybe he has some master plan. Did he have the whole calendar machine plot planned out before he started it? I've heard the author of OOTS does that sort of thing all the time.

Maybe there will be a kind of character baggage claim. They come around, we get their story, they go back behind the wall for a while as we get some other character's stories.

Or he could be meandering, hopping from one "generation" of characters to the next in search of ideas.

I've had practice dealing with loads and loads of characters. The Belgariad and the Malloreon are chock full of characters with all kinds of funny names. Some characters had several names. One in particular had several equally valid identities. That particular Drasnian was one of my favorite all time characters.

There are certainly many, many far worse dilemmas to be had. But this one is special. Instead of having 99 problems, all of which do not involve ladies, we have 99 problems that ARE ladies. And y'know what? Those are the sorts of problems I'm willing to work with(;

the temptation to just lurk is mainly the fault of this forums organisation, as well as the tangents taken by members... If somehow a good 'tree' structure could be implemented, then the tangent would be 'out of the way' of the general subject, so that could be followed more easily...

I used to be a tad more active on the old forums, not by a large margin, and on some specific topics/plots (I loved doing a frame by frame analysis).

But to get back at what I was getting at, and to use a movie reference. It's not that Paul is doing a "Groundhog Day" that is starting to bothers me, it's more he may be doing a "Thelma & Louise". As for the eye candy, not caring nor minding much.
