I'm gonna reiterate my feelings that Jin's tongue is sharper and more dangerous than anything physical she might do. She's had a lot of time to practice such things...

While the thought is in the right place I don't think it quiet fits. While Jin has a nice set of artillery she has not launched a barrage yet. She is planning on reactive fire, not an opening barrage.Sgt. Howard wrote:INCOMING!!!
I suspected she would be wearing something even skimpier as I said yesterday. She is wearing a lot less than Sali wore to the beach last time so I think I am close enough. And no Jin you are not being Too Subtle. You are making a direct statement and providing all the provocation you will need to spark the desire response, especially with Sali next to you. Pickle is a nice touch as well. I was kinda hoping they might have Kathy along as well. Jin is a powerful force to have but bringing a PO's Kathy into the mix would insure no prisoners would be taken.
Another case of Sali not explaining everything to Kathy. Kathy needs to learn that teenagers are secretive by nature and getting any real information out of them requires digging for it.
If we see Sali in a skimpy two piece with lots of upper support tomorrow that would be a Friday cliffhanger!
Ambush questions are fun. Watching the mental impact of them as they distort, or crumble, opinions based on faulty logic.

Nah, I doubt it'll become a physical altercation. Jin is being subtle.GlytchMeister wrote:Aah, ok. Well, I suppose if a semi-golem such as Jin were to get involved in a physical altercation, it could provide some very interesting research material for relativity and the theory that Golems draw their strength and control the way the opposing forces interact with them using wormholes tied to the rotational inertia of the Galaxy itself.
[StephenFry]So my high-speeds are going to be there for academic purposes, you see. Of course, the one I really want is Bud, the full-golem who has been said to be the strongest of the three... But, well, baby steps, you know.[/StephenFry]
Whoever coined the phrase "more fun than a barrel of monkeys" obviously never spent an afternoon cramming the little buggers into one.

Here's hoping Jin's subtle doesn't degenerate to this sort of subtle:

Yanno how some people have Angels/Devils for a conscience? I have a Dark Elf ShadowKnight and a Half Elf Ranger for mine. The really bad part is when they agree on something.

I dislike the subtle taste change from pizza teleporters, I prefer a pizza printer instead

I talked to Doc Nickel 'bout that, but anybody who will eat deep fried walrus liver just isn't worried about that sort of thing... besides, I'm stocking the confusion corner with goodies from a kosher deli- nobody will be disappointedJabberwonky wrote:I dislike the subtle taste change from pizza teleporters, I prefer a pizza printer instead

3 M40A5 's, 3 ghillie suits. Enough ammo. Snipin's a good job, mate!Sgt. Howard wrote:.... am I missing anything?
I recall snipers being described as "combat multipliers." Not entirely sure what that means, but I'm guessing it's good. I think it basically means a good sniper can multiply the combat capabilities of their team.

Re: Too Subtle 2015-04-09
What about a Bazooka launcher with Titanium tips and a 12 lb.load of C-4. Make sure there is a 3 second delay . That would give the ladies time to teleport it away. Of course the unofficial hand-written manual from a Delta Force 6 member does not mention teleporting. . But it does mention ladies - and places where very nasty sharp items reside . (Check before trying anything.)

Re: Too Subtle 2015-04-09
No... the hardware is only in case the malstrom comes waltzing in MY direction. I have SEEN what Jin is capable of... OK, WAS capable of... but Atsali will be there, ready to fire up in a moment's notice, I'm not sure what other support might be warrented and have NO CLUE as to the capacities of Her Ladyship Complainsalot... it is posible that .308 as a sniper round will prove inadequate here anyway, I simply want a deterrent to any mobile Grand Mele should it find my direction.GlytchMeister wrote:3 M40A5 's, 3 ghillie suits. "Combat multipliers" are anything that creates an effect disproportionate to the effort involved. A single sniper team can immobilize a unit on the move, close operation of a camp, stop an enemy advance or disrupt enemy defences... the list goes on. It is a fine dance that I am remarkably familiar with- 97% effective at 1km. Not for the squeemish. A good commander learns to understand the capacities of his sniper teams and use them wisely.

My only suggestion for Sgt. Howard is he should consider upgrading his shelter rather than resort to ordnance.
Shooting at this crew will only p***'em off.
Considering who may show up at the party, may I suggest something that will handle the overpressures developed by your typical tactical nuke.

In truth, you strategy actually makes more sense for the reasons stated... but there HAD to be some gratuitous gun and blast porn, simply because of who I am... I think I will forego the firepower and rely on something to mix with the tequila...sheik wrote:My only suggestion for Sgt.
