no, Katherine IS six human fetus's merged into one. what do you think happened to all of the physical bodies of the Ethetians as they were going thru the portals to the facility that Brandi set up (which was converted for evil purposes by the Nu Gui, but still) especially when Bud had remarked about how squicked out she was about what would happen if the babies were NOT removed from the mothers prior to "storage", and was a bit weirded out even then.zachariah wrote:Only the souls/minds of 6 babies were combined into a single body. So the body is merely human. It is what makes Kathy who she is that is unique. She has also not displayed any real paranormal abilities other than an apparent ability to heal quickly. That to is questionable as it could be due to Paul drawing her without damage to in a hurry to reduce workload on following strips.Gyrrakavian wrote: Kath is a fusion of multiple humans. Are you sure she doesn't count as a paranormal?

The bear girls are *very* good shape shifters. We have seen Nadette transform into a balloon animal and we have been told she once transformed as into a hat and was worn by Berdine into a movie theatre. (I think, relying on memory here)
Atsali has, in her past adventures, managed to cause quite a bit of damage to her clothing via transformations (and misadventure). Never to the point of uselessness or destruction, but she has had a growth spurt since then.
I doubt we would ever see it in comic, but, in theory, in the upcoming adventure - should Atsali managed to destroy (or lose) some (or all) of her clothing..... could Nadette transform herself into some form of clothing to protect Atsali's modesty?

Ah, folks, the tradition in comic-forum threads (on every such forum I've read) is that in-comic time freezes for the main page about each thread. No forward references please, in either content or links. (Not even to later flashbacks to prior events.)
The reason is that forward references can easily be spoilers for someone who comes along later. This is particularly true of "called it!" type comments.
(On threads that aren't about some specific page, anything goes, of course.)

This is (1) a forum tradition that I've never heard of, and I've probably posted in about a hundred different webcomic forums over the last decade and a half, (2) almost impossible to enforce or police without a swarm of dedicated mods, and (3) completely ridiculous.Warrl wrote:Ah, folks, the tradition in comic-forum threads (on every such forum I've read) is that in-comic time freezes for the main page about each thread. This assumes that there are a significant number of people who read old forum posts about past strips (which there aren't), and that these people are reading these old forum posts but have not yet read the actual comic through to the present. Are we supposed to cater to the sensibilities of these non-existent people by curtailing our conversations in unnatural ways to avoid potential spoilers? Hogwash. To this I say Snape kills Tyler Durden, Soylent Green is Luke's father, and Keyser Söze was a sled.Warrl wrote:The reason is that forward references can easily be spoilers for someone who comes along later. One of us is having a really weird streak of luck, then, because I've participated in only a couple dozen such forums and seen it recommended in over half of them - and this is the first time I've seen anyone respond in any way other than "oops, sorry" and (if the forum allowed) possibly removing the forward references from their past posts.Thor wrote:This is (1) a forum tradition that I've never heard of, and I've probably posted in about a hundred different webcomic forums over the last decade and a half, (2) almost impossible to enforce or police without a swarm of dedicated mods, and (3) completely ridiculous.Warrl wrote:Ah, folks, the tradition in comic-forum threads (on every such forum I've read) is that in-comic time freezes for the main page about each thread. As for enforcement, it's a tradition not a rule.
Re: Hold on 2015-01-12
It's a strange and bizarre tradition, to be sure. And it also puts the weight of effort on the majority of ordinary posters instead of on the odd individual who prefers reading posts about strips in the past to catching up to the most current strip.Warrl wrote:One of us is having a really weird streak of luck, then, because I've participated in only a couple dozen such forums and seen it recommended in over half of them - and this is the first time I've seen anyone respond in any way other than "oops, sorry" and (if the forum allowed) possibly removing the forward references from their past posts.Thor wrote:This is (1) a forum tradition that I've never heard of, and I've probably posted in about a hundred different webcomic forums over the last decade and a half, (2) almost impossible to enforce or police without a swarm of dedicated mods, and (3) completely ridiculous.Warrl wrote:Ah, folks, the tradition in comic-forum threads (on every such forum I've read) is that in-comic time freezes for the main page about each thread. However, if you are one of these quirky ducks and you don't want to read about what happens in the future of the past (i.e., the present), it is very easy for you to take care of the matter yourself. Simply scan through the timestamps of the posts. If you find a post with a timestamp that is more than 24 hours past the timestamp of the post, don't read further. That way the regular posters can keep posting like normal, and you never get spoiled by finding out that Tsillah's mother is even more of a dingbat than Tsillah. Whoops! I just completely ruined the surprise for all those readers who are reading this thread but haven't yet read the strip beyond January 29th for no discernible reason.
Seriously, does anyone do this--read old threads before reading the current strip? Do you exist? If so, can you explain yourself?
If this were a forum about TV shows, then maybe I could see a reason for this, as watching a season can be a 13-26 hour time investment, and people might want to see what the people who just watched Season 3 thought about it at the time, even though Season 7 is being broadcast. But catching up on a webcomic doesn't take that long. You should be able to read all 15 years of Wapsi Square in about 15 hours. And if there were a bunch of people who were halfway through and wanted to talk about the Calendar Machine again . . . they'd be out of luck, because the forum archive only goes back to Kath's trip to the beach. But if they really wanted to talk about Kath's trip to the beach, we'd see these old threads come bobbing up to the top all the time with fresh new discussion, rather than the very rare resurfacing like this one which was only revisited to celebrate a spot-on prediction. Otherwise these old threads never come back to life.

Oh, I forgot to mention - even on the boards I'm on where I haven't seen it mentioned, violations are rare.

I got all of them except 'Tyler Durden,'...

Warrl : would you perhaps follow football, and due to work restraints, cannot see a 'landmark' match??? and follow many forums about it???
-you carefully keep to the previous days forum, checking the lineups, and players history, etc... WHEN someone causally mentions what an awful play there was on that match you have not watched yet!!
- the whole evening entertainment wasted, so your recorded match is not as enjoyable... seem familiar???
and DO remember that this is mostly a USERS forum, with almost NO moderation by the artist.... unlike a lot of others where posts are chopped, and even banned for toffee nosed reasons...
PLEASE find your way here, where there are places you can chat about anything else...
