I thought the Nu Gui made sure there weren't. I wonder how this girl - and any others who might be in the chamber - were missed.

In addition to all the thousand and one problems letting her out might give rise to, there's also the risk she (I like the name Stacie) knows Golem tech. Atsali has sworn she will keep that knowledge from ever being released into the world again. We'll have to see just how paranoid about that possibility Atsali is.

ppppps: I was wondering what the thing behind the the young lady was, then I worked it out. It's the hem(?) of her dress .... burnt! . I think she only *just* got into stasis in time.


If she is released...it would still be smoking.

Also what looks like a burn on her left shoulder, right arm by the elbow, and on her dress by the left thigh. If they let her out she may need medical attention...

The cracks to the chamber look suspiciously like bullet damage. I wonder if there is a skeleton laying nearby perhaps hit by one of his/her own ricochets?

As to identity, could she be related to vampire girl? Is she one of the Etheitian elites? Apparently she's not the girl that was bursting into flames in yesterday's episode. Though with Wapsi you never know. We all thought the girl shown being vaporized by the chimera was dead as well until we found out she was a very young Bia. Could be burning girl was not looking at Atsali but was looking at the girl now in the stasis chamber. Maybe a servant/daughter/friend of stasis girl urging her to leave her behind and rruuunnnn for the chamber. Again marking stasis girl as a higher up. Maybe royalty. Also, is she part of good Brandi's counter-plan to the Nu Gui?

i was just thinking that looks to be bullet damage and the scorch mark looks to be from a flamethrower weapon like someone one really wanted to get inside that tube and kill this girl, but i dont blame them she is the last race of the crazy Etheitian race i say destroy the tube or at least lock her up and throw away the key so mib and or the library can get the knowledge that they are missing, and i wonder if this is brandi child that she thought she lost

I wonder what she actually is. Human or para? Can't be a golem as she would not need to be protected from the forces. This chamber is supposed to be a safety vault for people to shelter in during disaster. A Stasis field freezes things and protects them. Supposedly all biologic, molecular, and atomic movement is stopped. SO it is protected from all effects of entropy. So when the field is released it will be interesting. Sali needs to arrive so the girl will have someone to talk to who can understand her. Other option is to call Bud, or someone who speaks her language.

I hope Paul doesn't have her coming out speaking english, or creating mental messages, to get around the communication problem.

ps: anyone else notice signs of technology in the first panel? look at the ceiling. It almost looks like our 'modern' tech :p

Lots of things are the shape they are because that shape is convenient and easy to work with. The same shapes would have been similarly convenient and easy thousands of years ago. That's why, for example, rectangular blocks are found in Egyptian pyramids, Mayan temples, and modern ceiling tiles.

Lily told us any kind of markings made the crystals store-only. If this tech is like that, and the damage happened before the other Ethetians were released into Atsali, well, any number of Ethetians could have slipped through the cracks.

And did anybody else notice that the damage in the hallway with techno-stuff showing was limited to the door? THAT is not what volcanic damage looks like- SOMEBODY wanted through that door!

I agree that the damage we see is not volcanic damage. Everything else is too intact. Someone knew exactly where to look it would seem... (Note the obvious guide marks on the floor outside the chamber... similar to arrows painted on the floors of hospitals.) The door is blown and the stasis chamber itself damaged. Who it was and how they knew this was here is the real mystery. Why would they attempt to break in? Why not just remove the whole chamber, preserving Stasie until they could figure out how to reactivate the chamber.

Atsali is the key here. She has the knowledge locked away in that bird brain of hers... question is, will she see the wisdom in waiting until someone more adult is there before they go poking things with sticks that they don't totally understand?

I have to hope that Atsali remembers how things went so wrong for rushing into things in the name of adventure on her first wing ding.

i'll guess that the hallway door got trashed in either the aftermath of the initial catastrophe that caused her (Stasie) to be running into the stasis chamber room in the first place... OR, more recently during the self-destruct arc a while back. but NOT by Thup personally, that doesn't seem to be her style (she's not manipulating anyone into doing it FOR her). while technically you could say that the damage WAS caused by Thup either from the volcanoes, or the self-destruct, but i think that it's more likely a "natural causes" thing. i'm pretty sure that the damage that looks like bullet holes is probably just rock chips from the damaged hallway door hitting the tube she's in and bouncing off.

unknown as of yet, but Nadette said "get to the stasis chamber(S)" (emphasis mine in the plural...) and the vision girl getting burned up said "get to the stasis CHAMBER" note there was no plural there... i think it's a matter of semantics, the vision girl was talking about getting TO the chamber/ room that all of the stasis chamber TUBES are located in, so they're BOTH right... as for whether there are more than one survivor, hmm, unknown as of yet.. I'll bet that all the STAFF of this facility were supposed to go into these tubes, and the REST of the population were the ones to go into the crystals. seeing as how she seems to be the equivalent age to Nadette and Atsali, i'll hazard a WAG that she is both NOT knowledgeable in the creation of Golems, (she is more than likely aware that they EXIST, but not the process of how to actually CREATE them.) AND, that she was probably one of the kids OF a staff member and she may or may not have even been allowed in here under normal circumstances (way back then, her mom or dad probably gave her a tour of work one day, so that's how she knows about the tubes, heck the lady in the vision could have BEEN her mom)... and THAT will be her salvation from Atsali's stated plan to destroy this place if that kind of info could possibly get out.
as for MORE survivors, MAYBE... there are probably more of these individual tubes with others in inside, but maybe she's at the back of the room... it kinda makes sense, right? if this room is to be a life-boat, then as a person gets to the room all in a panic, do think they will go to the BACK FIRST and leave closer tubes empty?... nope, human nature is such that the first people in will choose a tube closer to the door they came in, and let other people coming in later fend for themselves by sending them to a tube further away... i'll bet that when Atsali catches up to Nadette and gets here, she'll have passed by the other tubes only to find the other they WERE cracked open by the damage, and the person inside killed... so here we are, left with a sole survivor, (that probably doesn't know how to make Golems in the first place,) in the tube that was FURTHEST from the doorway so it's the only one to survive intact...

pppps: If this is the person Nadette was/is seeing the past through, I wonder how looking at 'herself' is going to affect her? A brief moment of confusion [that's ME! No, I'm me, that is someone else], or so serious mental trauma [AAARG! + collapse] or somewhere in-between?

i'll bet that she'll get zapped back into being her normal self shortly, as she sees "herself" going thru the motions of getting into this tube, and when Nadette tries to re-do it and CAN'T because Stacie ALREADY DID IT that will be enough cognitive dissonance that it breaks the "Seer Trance" that she's currently in right now. as for the results OF that dissonance, I'll bet it will look something like what happens after this, unfortunately i couldn't find the clip i wanted to see: the point at which he REALIZES it. as for her dress still going to be smoking... meh, to me it looks like she is standing inside a tube that takes a bit of time to rev up, and that she's slumped over in a position of relief that she made it there in time. she also has an expression on her face that implies she's NOT in any rush anymore and can relax... probably she was the one to close the stone door to the hallway, protecting her from further injuries, thus giving her a bit more time to prepare the tube and get in it. taking all that into account, i would say that her dress is more than likely no longer on fire/smouldering. she may or may not be injured as per the patches on her elbow and shoulder, but those may also be just soot where she had rubbed up against something during the run towards the facility.


now comes a new question... will she be placed in an orphanage? or will Atsali and Pickle get a new sister? Will she have known Lily from before this whole thing started? will that cause a metaphysical "retcon" of Lily's Vampire status?... ie if Vamps are created by someone dying that is not remembered by anyone, if Stacie DOES know Lily then would her vampirism "go away" and make her mortal again, because someone still remembers her? (not likely, i know, but it is a cool theory, huh?)

The thing is, Nadette's current appearance is just something she chose to be her human form. I'm surprised she is maintaining it so well given her state of mind. Any similarities would be purely coincidental. I doubt there is any relationship. Whatever the case, stasis girl is a babe.
