Never assume anything, becasue when you do, you make an ASS of U and ME...
Having said that, I still think that High-School is implied, both by her demeanor (bubble-headedness, speech pattern, etc) and her attire and the stuff she carries

Also, the phrasing of the statement "I heard about you
at school" followed immediately by "'I'm growing my hair out like yours" indicate, to me, concurrency (at school, because she's still going there), recent happening (she learned about the sage of the forest recently enough to impress her and to cause her to grow her hair out - instead of something like "when I heard that, that's when I started growing my hair out like yours"). Also, that kind of curriculum sounds like the general history curriculum one might find in a (paranormal) high-school.
And yes, this is her shadow, yet that last link also shows her "true" self form which mimics her shadow, and we see it again on the next page (

Not only that, but we also have the interchange between Tsillah and the vampires:
But... you're a little girl. Where's the creepy supermodel?
My daddy always said to make an awesome first impression and it'll speak of your character and fortitude. But, I don't really like scaring people... Unless, of course, I absolutely have to do so. (Implied: that was not my true form, this is - inasmuch as it's really a shadow of her true form...)
The continued conversation between them ("You're funny", and so on) seem to convey youth, as well.
Another example is where she
imitates Lily Tomlin's telephone operator, but then reverts right back to "her" own form...

The vibe she gives off is that of a teenager, as far as I'm concerned. If it was MIB training, either she just started, or they are not doing a very good job, as she has not been very efficient and/or tactful in her actions...
zachariah wrote:We don't know. From the comments I think it is safe to assume the mom is the common element for Nudge and Tisallah.
I don't think we can even assume that. From all we've seen, there is no mention at all as to whether they are full sisters or half-sisters. They share similar face markings, yet have different attributes (one is goat-like, one is made of shadow), just like two siblings can have some common traits, yet have different traits as well.
zachariah wrote:How far apart they are we don't know. We do know that nudge was out and about on her own a long time ago as she had been locked up in the library by other gods. While mom may have shared stories I think the wording Tisalliah used would be different if she had only been told about the baths. "Mom always said you hated those baths." type of wording.
Not necessarily. She implies knowing about the fear (
And you exposed her to that fear. You forced her to experience that fear?, and
She chose Nudge's worst fear. She has the mind of a sociopath but the heart of a lion ), but there is no need, in that scene, for her to explain why or how she knows. She merely knows.
However, the familiarity expressed by Tsillah does show that she had spent time with Nudge in the past, in my opinion (
Hey, Sis! All better?)
This does bring up one interesting thing: we know that Monica's accident with the bus happened some 15 years ago, and that's when Nudge started inhabiting Tina. That would mean that even though Tsillah is indeed young (as far as I'm concerned), she would have to be more than 15, in order to have known Nudge personally. Yet she does not give off the impression of being older than 15 (or, at least, not old enough past 15 to have known Nudge enough to be that familiar with her.)
zachariah wrote:So our favorite doofus and mistress of lack of tact is a lot older than we think.
Maybe, maybe not. I think it's only safe to say that her age is... unknown, at this time...
zachariah wrote:She's just never grown up mentally.
I think that is a given...
