Kevin was only bothered by M's sexual aggressiveness, not turned or hurt by it. He adjusted well once Alan talked to him. Gee I wonder why? lol.

Paul has stated M is strongly Hetero and monogamous. She hates to be betrayed by friends, or lovers, and won't do that to someone. Nothing shows that she and Kevin have an open relationship. So I really doubt M is going to go home with Jet for anything more than talk.

Besides Jet is trying to use emotional extortion on M. "I'm going out to the cab and I know you are going home with me." M does not react well to that kind of pressure. SO I expect a poit taking them somewhere else so they can talk.

I'd say it's time M called in on Shelly; 80k in a time looped forest, she must have some insight on these things.

Learning how to deal with personal relationships is something that you can only do through experience, it's not something that you automatically gain more of as you get older. Shelly does have 80,000 years of seniority over Monica. . .but how much of that time was spent in romantic relationships? In fact, most of the long-lived paranormals in this comic don't seem to have much more experience in successful relationships than many ordinary humans do. Phix has spent most of her time isolated in the Library, the golems have been under others' control or inert or incapacitated or all sorts of other things, Nudge has been hiding out from the sphinxes, the demons don't even bother with that sort of thing, Justin's apparently lost much of his memory. . .Bia might be a good bad example, of the "don't do what I did" variety.

Really, Euryale's the only one I can think of offhand who has had a very long life that may have been close to that of a normal human's in how she interacts with society. Maybe she'd be the one to talk to.

Goona be real hard to keep a public place event like this quiet. This could get ugly quick though when it spreads. I didn't see this coming at all and the pair i did think would happen is gonna leave the other jealous as the devil. Sphinx have been know to eat humans.

Not to mention the stereotypical image of models. Young. Hot. Bisexual. The way the paparazzi look at it, it doesn't have to be true, it just has to LOOK that way. If Monica is seen leaving with Jet, rumors will fly. I have to believe that Jet's bisexuality is well known in the modeling world, if not by the general public. She's famous so she's always got TMZ hiding in the bushes to record every little tidbit to hang supposition on whether it's true or not.

What gets me is that Jet seems to be channeling Tina. Her litany on Kevin is very Tina-esque. I have to wonder if Tina's interaction with her before Monica poited in at Mucho Mocha triggered some latent para-normal tendency. Has Jet taken to hanging out at Mucho Mocha in hopes of seeing Monica more? If so, has her exposure to Tina/Whitewing somehow subtly (or not so subtly) changed her?

Monica definitely needs to poit Jet out of the public eye for the discussion they are obviously going to have. I'm not seeing Monica tossing Kevin without a LOT of soul searching. Such decisions shouldn't be made at clubs or under the influence of alcohol at any rate... Even a drunk Jet should be able to understand that. I have to feel for Jet though. Monica is the only person who has learned to see Jet for herself, not what she is. I suspect that is what's got Jet so enamored of Monica. Like I said, Jet is likely to get hurt in this... and its not going to be pretty.

Hmm , lot to say about this bombshell.

Lot of old horror sc-fi visual references to me.

First panel, Mon's face, blushing. Georg as a black foreground. That panel gives a whole Hammer production vibe.

2nd panel: Georg's speech. She really reminded me of either village of the damned/invasion of the body snatchers.

3rd panel : Georg invading Mon's space. Someone is making a too strong sale's pitch.

As for the text, it looks like Georg has a lot of insider information here. As other mentioned, the Boys have been missing for quite a while. It may well be that the boys, at least Kevin, have been missing in Mon's life for a long while too. We're in the grey about the others

My take:
This isn't Georgette, but either Doubt or Self-Loathing having their turn at Monika, Guilt from destroying Georg's demon or , less likely, the return of said demon wanting revenge on Mon.

Whatever it may be, the fallout from this comic will be harsh. 'Georg' hit a nerve about Mon/Kevin relationship. Kevin has been understanding about Monika issues to a point of sainthood. It may be so that Monika is willing to torpedo, shake the foundation of that relationship for an unknown purpose.

As other said, Paul is a master when it comes to this. Hat's off

I don't know that this would really count as a violation of demon laws. When Tina thumped the two demons when Jin and Monica were arguing, she said something like, "A team of demons can be asigned to more than one person. Normally those people never meet. It's a big 'no-no' to pit those people against each other. It's like insider trading."

In this case, it's not one team of demons working together to get their multiple hosts to fight. It's probably just each person's own demons working on their own. Georgette knows a lot about Monica because she and Monica shared some sort of mental world together, not because their sets of demons are cooperating.

Yeah, genderswap that, and it's not as easily applauded. That's a cultural thing, but now we know M is a young godling, and Kev may still be a mere mortal. That's a power imbalance, and it's therefore an issue they have to cope.

Note in that link M does wait for him for four months. Good on her! But methinks Shelly trapped for 80,000 years may have found some outlets in her occasional visitors, especially once she forgot everything of her human life. I'd say that falls under the "wisdom of a feral creature" which M may need quite a lot of very shortly.

Well, Shelly's private history is moot for the time being (and Catawampus is right that Euryale may be a wiser advisor); perhaps the most relevant lesson is the inevitability of letting go your mortal might-have-beens, like Owen.

Kevin could be coming back from the bathroom. Kevin could be watching this on YouTube. Both.

We just haven't been treated to much of Kevin's inner motivation since he came back from the duck blind after the Calendar was put down (I guess the snowball fight?). In terms of narrative experience, that evokes in the reader a feeling of neglect of Kevin's worth and desires that Jet is voicing here.

But M may value Kevin for him being with her from before her uplift. Jet may have been enjoying that status too, but she might have just blown it by negging her relationship with Kev.

Monica had heard of Georgette, but Georgette requested Monica sight unseen (M clearly has avoided Amanda's shutters up to this point). Amanda's pro advice is plainly welcome to Jet, she runs a sane and humane studio. But this feels like something was already going on there.

We've seen so little of Kevin we have no idea what he may think.
We do know he is a very understanding fellow when it comes to Monica, but AFAIK we have no idea how possessive he is.
He may resent Georgette on his turf or if Jet is bi he may welcome the company.

Agree with you both. And, considering how thoroughly upset Monica was when she thought Georgette had actually made a pass at her, you'd think Georgette would know that Monica would probably reject any further overtures. Georgette may not have our access to the Authorial Word of God, but she's at least been exposed to the cluebat.

Hmmm... playing Devil's Advocate here... is it possible that Georgette did realize this, and wasn't/isn't expecting Monica to agree? Could it be that Georgette's whole intention was to shock Monica with a proposal, and then challenge her about her relationship with Kevin... in order to get Monica to face up to, and correct the imbalance in their (M's/K's) relationship?

This could, perhaps, be a way for Georgette to "return the favor" that Monica did, in ridding Georgette of the Tar's influence. "You saved my ass, Monica... I owe you, and you know I care about you. Look at what you're missing in your life - real intimacy and a real partner. We both know you won't accept me in that role, even if I propose it... so what you need to do is face the way you've limited your relationship with the man you say you love, and make that relationship really work!"

In a way, it would be like the time that Tina stopped just "blowing sunshine", and directly confronted both Monica and Shelly about their lives ("Your new hairdo looks like hell, and you know it, and you did it just to bolster your self-esteem" and "Your relationship with Justin is shallow"). According to Tina, that's what real friends are willing to do.

Maybe it's a "demon thing" - be shocking and disturbing, in order to challenge someone you care to face their personal bullshit and move in positive directions. Perhaps Guidance is, well, offering guidance to the one who freed her?

I grant you, it does seem that Georgette has personal feelings for Monica. Maybe she had to get drunk in order to actually express them (the obvious explanation)... or maybe she got drunk because she knew that she was going to shock Monica, court (and even ask for) rejection... all in the best interest of Monica's relationship with Kevin. She needed a drink or five, to be brave enough to "give up Monica".

I'm prob'ly wrong, of course... but if there's one thing we've seen from Pablo, it's that not everything is what it appears at first.
