Yeah, she was hatching a plan. But, she got drunk and a bit confused, and when she sobered up, she was planning a hatch... and that's what got built into Bud.
Fortunately, she'd originally been quite single-minded, and had been hatching only one plan. If she'd had a couple of other conspiracies in mind, then all three of the Golem Girls might have ended up cross, and hatched.
