That's quite alright. I wasn't too confident on the match, myself... Hence my waiting for confirmation... That was more of a first-thing-that-popped-into-my-mind kind of thing... (Also known as "thinking out loud"... 8-) )

Who was channelling Admiral Ackbar?
8-)
Ah! Yes! It was Kevin, when asked to play doubles tennis (with Alan), against Tina and Monica, who claims they've never played tennis before.

That is what you were looking for, this time, right?

Indeed, that's the (game, set, and) match in question. 8-)

(And with that, I assume we've brought balance to the force.)

Your question, sir?

Q: Who is immune to the whims of Minnesota weather?

Everybody's favorite Hippy Chick...Jackie!

Lemme find a question and I shall post it forthwith...(on confirmation)
(Slighly later)
Okay, okay, I completely misread the question...That would be Monica and her being taunted by recurring winter in springtime...lemme find the links...
(much later)
And, because I have a mind like a steel trap...It's Kevin...

No no, you had it with the first one. And exactly the right corroborating link, too.

We now await your question.

All we need is for 48 people to transcribe 60 storyline strips or so... It can't be that hard to find 48 people with no lives, right? ;)

Monica.

SHELLY: "Hey there. Uh, what's M brain bleaching."
TINA: "Images of her boss 'getting jiggy with it' with wealthy, nerdy bimbettes."
MONICA: 'NOT HELPING!"
TINA (off-screen): "Yeah, that's almost worse than seeing your parents getting hot-n-heavy."
SHELLY: "I'm sure, but when M has to go talk to her boss about something work related and..."
MONICA: "Would you two stuff it before I..."
SHELLY and TINA (together) : "Bimbos and M's boss, sittin' in a tree! K-I-S-S-I-N-G!"
MONICA: "Will you dorks STOP!"

All righty then... (cracks knuckles)

I've got a simple five-question one for you all. I've been sitting on them for a while... (cackles)

Person to either get all five right, OR person who gets the last of the five right, gets next question.

  1. What was somewhat prophetic (or ironic) about Monica and Shelly's first dialogue together in-strip? (Hint: think numbers.)
  2. What did Monica do in her first example (in-strip) of controlling a demon?
  3. What was the first unofficial example of a POIT in-strip? (Hint: it didn't involve the sound effect.)
  4. Who was the poor cast member that was traumatized for life by a dog lick?
  5. Who is Bjarni?

  5. Who is Bjarni?
1. will have to look it up
2. setting Doubt's butt on fire?
3. First Poit from Monica is said to be sneezing her bra off. But others have poited before, so I'll have to look.
4. Amanda
5. Bjorni is a Viking who forgot how to walk on ice. That specific question was asked before. (And I was the one to answer it correctly.)

1. Their first in-comic dialogue was indeed prophetic, in that Monica does have discussions with her demons, at times when a decision is needed. I'm not sure what the "think numbers" hint means, though.

Hint #2: Who was asking, and how did she say it?

And as for question 3 - there's actually an earlier example.

I will say this: you have three correct. ("Liar, liar, pants on fire"; Amanda; and Bjarni - I didn't know it'd been asked before.)

If we keep this up, we'll have a great start on a Wapsi Square edition Trivial Pursuit!

No, it wasn't. I just read it, and didn't register it as the answer until several minutes later.

First unofficial poit: Kukulkan (April 4, 2004)
Second unofficial poit, though a first for Monica(or at least, it is what people seem to think was her first) (June 18, 2004)

I suppose that the irony could be that Shelly's demons have been coalesced into one entity, while Monica deals with several demons in her conversations.

Is that what you were looking for?

Or is it that Monica is now the chairperson?

if not, then I give up. I don't know what you're looking for.

DING DING DING DING DING! You got the Shelly ("One Voice") vs. Monica ("A committee") reference.

And I will officially say only one thing about the last question on the board:

PLOOP!
