...and you can pick which method to try by the menu at bottom. Red/blue or red/green is called "anaglyph". There are anaglyph proxesses that give a b&w image, and some that give (ort of) a colour image.

There's also the mirror method, where one image is a mirror image, and you set a mirror on edge between them and use that to fuse the two images.

"Parallel" viewing (without crossing your eyes) is what those "hidden picture" stereograms that were so popular a while back use. One way to try parallel viewing would be if your monitor screen reflects something behind you while the stereo picture is on screen - focus on the reflected image, not the image displayed on your monitor.

To expand on the "cross-eyed" method just a bit, since there are two images when you start, when you cross your eyes you will begin to see four out of focus images. Slowly increase crossing your eyes until two of them overlap in the middle and then you focus in on that combined image. Your head also has to be level horizontally relative to the pictures or else they won't line up correctly.

Thanks for the detailed instructions. And it turns out that the cross-eyed method is indeed what I thought it was. Alas, I suck at it! I have a hard time making the middle image line up, as the right image is always a little lower, and I have a hard time making it stay there...

Oh, those poor people. You can see 'em some of them turn red, moment by moment, right before your eyes. I'm sure there was some cussing and screaming that didn't make it through the editing process.

Somehow, I think the "I survived eating a ghost pepper" handouts... well, maybe not worth the price paid? It's surely one way to deal with a cold, boring winter's day... but wow.

Sleep well, Gainesville - your police are watching over you

In this photo, the red arrow indicates the Hall County Courthouse.  The green arrow indicates the Courthouse Annex, where the IT office where Kate works is located.  The blue arrow indicates the Federal Courthouse.

And the black arrow indicates the site of the second photo.

I don't think the criminal(s) were stupid for striking in that location, they just don't care. :(

Twice in a week? I'm guessing someone out there really likes the lunches she packs, or Kate needs to stop keeping her spare doubloons on the back seat.

That third one looks kinda familiar.
Opened in 1878, Baltimore's George Peabody Library uses iron throughout to create a lofty space topped by a vaulted ceiling

I would have gone with this one, personally:

Anyhow, I found this bit particularly interesting:

The ornate Joanina Library of the University of Coimbra General Library, in Portugal, was completed in 1728. Bats in the library feast on insects that would otherwise eat away at the books.

Yup, that was my concern too. Unless they've somehow been conditioned to poop elsewhere, that is.
