No the glow effect is only when Atsali's face is in view, there is no glow when just Calista is in view.

Artistic convention for "urgency of expression". I think Bloom County referred to these as "glowles"... like sparkles but different. I'm sure there's a Photoshop plugin for this...

Oh, I get it now. Atsali is finding Calista's exposition to be illuminating. :D

It took me a couple of lines to figure out which song you were basing that on... I'll just go lean quietly against this Wall until the rest figure it out.

I'm surprised she didn't say it was "just a guard." It seems that their lives never matter in stories. Since it wasn't someone important, no matter, we can just forget his little life and gruesome agonizingly painful death. Bet they dismiss the death quite soon and move along with the story. I hate stuff like that in stories. Kind of how Paul just dismised how Shelly killed and ate an Apo. Brief mention and, "oh well, what's to drink around here?" Lets move on wit the party. Sorry, just one of my pet peeves.

Well, I'm relieved. I thought yesterday's reveal was an "utterly convenient" cop-out.

I just really didn't want to jump into that discussion.

It was Phix who killed and ate the Apo.

not the one who was killed and eaten after Phix was told that Shelly was her granddaughter. i think he's talking about the one that disagreed with Shelly joining the MIB as Jin's replacement, then they showed up at the beach-party and that's pretty much all we heard about it.

Given Pickles nature wouldn't 'Another stick in the wall' work better?

Besides during class that is not the best song to sing, like "School's Out' isn't.

Drops a copy of 'Several Furry Creatures in a Cave Grooving With a Pict' in the jar.

By gum, Calista IS that good a liar and actress! She's as kind-hearted as we hoped - or maybe it's reverence for the Child of the Blackthorn, making her try to spare Castela emotional pain - but if she's able to fib like this, you need to watch everything she says.

Ah. But she DIDN'T say 'just a guard'. Cricket seems to be free of that particular prejudice, at least in this case. Keep in mind though that guards, by nature, are putting themselves in harm's way to protect what they are guarding from those who would DO harm; if they get hurt or killed in the process, it's bad, but not unexpected.

Also keep in mind the Princess is apparently a VERY good liar. Castela might have actually killed a member of the Royal family and/or someone important to Calista; and would we know it if she chose to lie about it? I think not...
