That's why you bolt the engine from a Sidewinder missile onto the chassis.

Normally, Junior is the calm one and Bright Eyes is the stand-offish, cranky one.

But when the girls bother him while he's trying to eat...

Well then, let me introduce you to a pile of wild kittens snoozing away in their hollow tree nest in the woods. They just opened their eyes for the first time on Friday.

And for good measure, meet Marshmallow.

A quick check online confirms what i thought - this elegant fellow is a Carolina (or "Green" - surprise) Anole. (Being a green anole, he could have been brown, when i photographed him, because they have that range of colour change - they're sometimes incorrectly called "American Chameleons".)  Wikipedia claims 4.9 to 8 inches length (including that fine long tail) for adult males, but i'm pretty sure this fellow may have been more than that*.

I was just leaving the Immediate Care Clinic**, and as i called Kate to let her know i'd be home soon, i noticed him sunning on a pillar next to the walk.

I began taking photos with the tablet, and got several decent-to-good ones, but none that showed him showing off his bright read dewlaps (which he did just before i began taking pictures), so i've included a shot from the Wikipedia article showing that.

* Not much more - 10", maybe.  I can get a better estimate because one of the pics shows a FedEx box and i can measure the height of the lettering and compare...

** Why i had gone to Immediate Care is something i'll be discussing later, after consulting with my primary care physician.

Maybe it's on the other side.

I sort fo wonder how much is costume and how much is just body paint.

As far as my poor eyes can tell, there is a surprising amount of costume.

the boots, the arm thigies, the wings, the face, the Autobot emblem .... and everything else looks like it is just paint on (only ) skin. I can't see any of the bumps you'd expect to see from underwear that has been painted over.

I do like the boots, but I suspect that they lack any ankle movement and would make walking difficult.

ps: I'd like to see a Decepticon version.

pps: I'm a little disappointed I needed to add "Decepticon" and "Autobot" to Firefox's dictionary :(

Posted on another board by a member who is a Church of God pastor:
Bogy wrote:And God Created Dog and Cat

A newly discovered chapter in the Book of Genesis has provided the answer to 'Where do pets come from?'

Adam said, 'Lord, when I was in the garden, you walked with me every day. Now I do not see you any more. I am lonesome here and it is difficult for me to remember how much you love me.'And God said 'No problem. I will create a companion for you that will be with you forever and who will be a reflection of my love for you so that you will love me even when you cannot see me. Regardless of how selfish or childish or unlovable you may be, this new companion will accept you as you are and will love you as I do, in spite of yourself.'

And God created a new animal to be a companion for Adam. And it was a good animal. And God was pleased. And the new animal was pleased to be with Adam and it wagged its tail.

And Adam said, 'Lord, I have already named all the animals in the Kingdom and I cannot think of a name for this new animal.'

And God said, 'No problem. Because I have created this new animal to be a reflection of my love for you his name will be a reflection of my own name, and you will call him Dog.'

And Dog lived with Adam and was a companion to him and loved him. And Adam was comforted. And God was pleased. And Dog was content and wagged his tail.

After a while, it came to pass that Adam's guardian angel came to the Lord and said, 'Lord, Adam has become filled with pride. He struts and preens like a peacock and he believes he is worthy of adoration. Dog has indeed taught him that he is loved, but perhaps too well.'

And the Lord said, 'No problem. I will create for him a companion who will be with him forever and who will see him as he is. The companion will remind him of his limitations, so he will know that he is not always worthy of adoration.'

And God created Cat to be a companion to Adam. And Cat would not obey Adam. And when Adam gazed into Cat's eyes, he was reminded that he was not the Supreme Being. And Adam learned humility.

And God was pleased. And Adam was greatly improved. And Dog was happy.

And Cat didn't care one way or the other.

After careful study (Purely for scientific reasons. Why do you ask?) I think I see seams between arrows 1-2, 3-4, 5-6. There also seems to be a bump away from the curve of the breast at 5-6.

Your mileage may vary.
