Gunfire in the night

Post by Fairportfan »

Someone is out in our neighbourhood firing what Steve and i agree is a handgun, probably in nine millimeter.

First there were two shots not far from the house (like in the street right outside), then about fifteen minutes later, five or six more some distance away.

This does not make me happy.

==============================

OTOH, it makes me less unhappy than the night thirty or so years ago when my first wife and i had just gone to bed and the brothers who lived upstairs started shooting at each other in the bedroom right above ours...
Not even duct tape can fix stupid. But it can muffle the noise.

On the bright side, it seems to be heading away from you.

If they start off with the 155mm's, though, you might want to hide under your bed.

True, or just drag your 88mm out of the back yard and return fire. If that's a bit to complicated, try an Ontos, or just use your M20/75mm. Caution -- these are outside weapons -- the back blast will definitely shuffle your interior design.
Don't let other peoples limitations become your constraints!

Wouldn't an 8 cm mortar allow you a closer range, just in case they try to hide nearby?
