ummm, is that a rhetorical question???? unless you don't mean her real name... ???
Wyvern is talking about Shelly's dad; we've never been told his name.

I think I'll need a second white board.

Does this make Shelly Tina's Great Aunt?
Yep. And third cousin at the same time. ;)
As far as I can figure it, Shelly and one of Tina's paternal grandparents are half siblings, which would make Shelly Tina's (half) great aunt. They are *not* third cousins. Shelly's hypothetical grandchildren would be Tina's second cousins. Shelly's great-grandchildren and Tina's children would be third cousins.

/edit/ I'm not sure why I spelled Shelly's name with an extra "e" on the family tree... oops. Oh well.

Oh, and why we're talking about genealogy, did we ever figure out who "The Companion" is? (When Tsillah first meets Shelley she calls her "the sister of the companion"). Just some gristle to mentally chew over.

And, since it appears that Shelly's father was Bia's manymanygreat grandson, it makes him his own manymanygreat grandpa.

As far as Bia being one of Shelly's dad's ancestors AS WELL AS his wife, I must've missed that. Where was that mentioned?

With all the "Pallas's" being cussed and discussed, I wonder whose bust is above Poe's chamber door for the raven Nevermore to perch on?

Okay, it appears i was misremembering, and what i was half-remembering may have been a lie - this page.

I assumed that it meant that Shelly's mother was her descendant, though we later get the revelation that it was herself.

(Note that the Library windows in that and at least the next page incorporate Bia's glyph...)

Athena. While there were other females by that name, she seems to be the only one "busted".

Great, now I have an image of Peter Lorre in a raven costume talking to Vincent Price in The Raven. I remember a line in the film where Price askes Lorre (in raven form) a question and Lorre's reply is "How the hell should I know" in his usual tone.

That would be Zeus. Her mom is Styx, which means she's related to Nudge and Tsillah.
It IS all relative.
Again, nope - see above.

Styx is her mother, though.

Tsillah's father is Charon - we haven't yet been told if Tsillah and Nudge are full- or half-siblings, or, if the second case, on which side.
From the physical traits of both girls I would say that they share Styx as a mother but maybe since we know that Tsillah's father is Charon (Death) I would guess that Nudge's father is at least a demigod satyr.

Pan, perhaps? Or maybe Dionysus?

Um, Bia and Nike may share Styx as a mother. Certainly Euryale told us Bia was a daughter of Pallas and Styx.

We have not been told who's Tsillah and Nudge's mother(s), but I rather doubt they're sisters to Bia. (The Nudge-Bia confrontation had no hint of it, and we don't see Shelly referring to Nudge and Tsillah as her aunts.)

(And that's not even getting into that we don't know if Tsillah and Nudge share a mother, a father, or both. Or if it's Charon or Tsillah's otherwise unnamed mother who's referred to as she describes herself as "the daughter of Death". Or if the "Death" in question is Thanatos, whether gender-swapped or conflated with Charon. This stuff has plenty food for speculation without bringing Styx into it.)

GUNNER (lifts up eye guard) Sorry, sir. (he is cross-eyed) Doing my best.

ZEUS Who made that man a gunner?

MAJOR I did, sir. He's my cousin. (he is cross-eyed, too)

    ZEUS Who is he?

    BIA He's an Pallas, sir.

ZEUS I know that. What's his name?

BIA That is his name, sir. Pallas, Major Pallas.

    ZEUS And his cousin?

BIA He's an Pallas, too, sir. Gunner's-mate, 1st Class, Philip Pallas.

ZEUS How many Pallass we got on this ship, anyhow?

    All, but few, stand up.

    ALL Yo!

ZEUS I knew it. I'm surrounded by Pallases. (pulls down mask) Keep firing, Pallases.
Zeus, because, you know, it's funny and Bia because it's been mentioned in the past that Bia was Zeus's enforcer.
